Question - I don't see many attractively toned Walkers. Re the Walkers shown, they are all "Short Set" dates. Is this the norm re attractively toned Walkers?

Most of the attractive ones I see are indeed short set dates. I have seen some from the early dates but not too many. Not to say they are not out there. I do have a 1916s graded PCGS au58 with some rather attractive album toning.
For me to buy a toned Walker it needs to IMO, set itself apart from others. At shows I see a fair amount with some attractive toning but not quite for me. Prices on the high grade Walkers have been increasing lately. Now I'm starting to see more toned ones offered. Funny how that happens isn't it?
My criteria for buying toned Walkers in high grade is they meet the assigned grade without a bump for color. I just say NO to market grading. Now yes there will be a substantial premium to pay, but I want the grade to be ALL there.

Mike, Your beautiful 37 I believe is one of the coins on my fantasy desktop picture that someone through out here a while back that I downloaded. Does anyone here remember that, awesome toned morgans mostly, a few buffs and gold and believe Mike's 37 was in with the bunch or one thats toned just like it but how likly is that. Alan
You are correct -- that 1937 Walker is included in a gorgeous image (comprised of a number of incredible coins from our inventory) designed by my wife for the home page of our website.
<< <i>Oh yeah, that's the one. That coin does certain things to me that very few "Coins" are able to do. If you know what I mean? >>
I know what you mean stman..... I look at my Walkers everyday, and particularly the 34-S.... To be honest the pics do not do justice to it. I guess I could send it to you for a up close and personal viewing! If you promise to return it!
Puff that's nice of you and I would return it, but not sure what condition it would be when it got back to you.
Hey you wanted my 42d? Well done deal? I know better but a guy can try I guess. I like the color on my 42d and in person is much better as well. Yours being an earlier date and I can imagine rocking that coin around.
