When I was in the kitchen under normal light, it looked awesome. Oh yeah...at a certain angle of course under a 100 watt bulb it jumps right out.

Why does it say Proof on the 2X2? Did it come with a return privilege? If so I'd recommend getting your $100 back while you can. If it's just a business strike that's been whizzed and polished real good, which it appears to be, it's worth about $7-$12 wholesale. More on eBay of course. Run Forest, run!

Everybody always tosses around the term "whizzed" as if any Joe Blow has the knowledge, dexterity, means, and tools with which to "whizz" a coin.

What percentage of the population would be capable doing something like that?

Well said, 291 5th. On several occasions, I have gotten lucky at auctions where I was bidding on some material & hardly anyone else was there or had any $ left for bidding.

Also, if you have a niche re a type of coin with many varieties -- and you know people who will pay a premium for some of them and have the time to look at a lot of coins -- you might find something.

Personally, I think if you want to get some nice coins, you should work with someone you trust who has access to far more of them than you do.

May be some slide marks, but I don't think it'll get bagged because of that. Any coin will look scary under a microscope.

I agree. Do the scratches go across the devices? Is it possible that it's just die polishing?
