Has the U.S. flag ever been featured on a coin?

With all due respects to people, landmarks, events, and other symbols that celebrate our American heritage, has the flag ever been the focal point of a coin? I can't think of one. We commemorate a lot of things, I can't believe it's an oversight.

The flag was featured somewhat prominently on the Walking Liberty halves (and Silver Eagles), and most recently on the 2003 Platinum Proofs.

It is shown being carried on the 1996-W "Flagbearer" Olympics $5 gold commem.

This is a political token from the 1844 Presidential election. It shows what is believed to Henry Clay holding up a battered flag against foreigners. This was issued at the beginning of a xenophobic political movement that would become known as the Know Nothing party. The reverse, which features and eagle with its head down reads, "Natives beware of foreign influence."

This is a very scarce piece that sells for several hundred dollars in this condition, which is Ch. AU.

Yes - there are many Civil War Tokens with US Flags prominately displayed on the coin - BUT they are not US Mint products

Here's an R-rated Civil War flag token for your viewing pleasure. It's called the "Naked Amazon." It was inspired by a mid 19th century painting from the European uprisings of 1848 that was entitled “Liberty Leading the People.” The theme here was probably anti-slavery and the die maker was John Marr from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The flag can be found on several modern commems displayed on poles in front or on buildings and as held on the recent West Point. But as featured, I would say the best circulating example would Weinman's Walking Liberty draped in the flag as mentioned by flamingo above. For Commems the best example would be on the $5 & Half Dollar 1992 Olympic.
