When you first meet another board member...

Do you draw a conclusion on what they look like by descriptions given here on the board?

When I first met Jason (JStevens), I was told to look for Joe Dirt! Yep, that one fit.

I was devistated when I met Coinguy1 and he wasn't wearing his Mortorboard!

I had a member come up to me and tell me I didn't look anything like how Clankeye described me.

But I am certian the first time I meet Frank (FC57COINS) I'm going to get a leg hump!image

Of course, so far of the board members I've met, none of them looked like what I expected. But then again, I have every reason to expect that I would be wrong. image
  • When most people meet me for the first time, they say that were overwhelmed by my apparent unfamiliarity with the workings of something as common as a pair of scissors.

They may not look like I'd think they would, but most of them fit their online personas (personae?). However, a few don't at all. I won't say who.
  • I have always looked liked the reverse of a Booker T. commem. It got easier to accept when I toned in my late teens.

  • I have an image of everyone on the board based upon what they write. You can't help but put a picture to the words. I've been close with some and way off with others. BTW, for those have not met Frank.....he looks just like his icon.image

  • It's funny how you can try to form images in your head of board members, without having the slightest idea as to what they actually look like.
For the board members I've met, none have "surprised" me with their looks. Nothing out of the ordinary I guess.
I'm not sure how I met up to other board members "expectations" when they first met me.
I've only met a few members, not like the pow-wow's y'all are having out there in Long Beach. image

  • Marty, when you finally meet me, you'll know right off the bat that is the big dude you've been looking for to guard all of those MS/PR 69's you are going to be getting slabbed. Be warned though, good bodyguards don't come cheap......Kenimage
