    Killer! Does anyone have a speculation what this coin would sell for? I have no idea, but have to imagine between the top Franklins sets it would be competitive.

    Lucy actually I have had maybe 30 AUs at the most (not counting the Morgans). I'm just very consistant with them!

    It's a good thing I don't collect Franklins because I'm sorry but to me that is a butt ugly coin, it has fingerprint toning on it (both sides)and I wouldn't pay over $10 for it. If I did it would probably be with an eye towards dipping it to see if I could give it some kind of eye appeal. But fortunately for you there are many people out there who will pay what I consider really way out money for that coin because of the number on the holder. So congradulations, go find a sucker.

    (Five "sucks" from Russ in one post, I thinks that's a new record for him.)

    I too wonder what the fingerprints (I see them on both sides) will do to the value, but a pop 2/0 still has to be worth big bucks.

    This is not sour grapes as you have done well! However, the eye appeal is not great with the coin, especially with the fingerprint. I would personally never fork out heavy bones for a huge print on the obverse. Just my opinion.

    Marty: Congratulations on slabbing this beautiful Franklin! Sometime natural hues on a coin can be interpreted as fingerprints on a scan. Obviously, one would have to see the coin and perhaps Marty can comment on the issue. Of course, what I find intriguing about this coin is twofold. First, high grade 1961(p) Franklnis are generally white coins - it is extremely uncommon to locate a superb gem FBL pretty toned 1961(p) half. Second, assuming the coin did possess natural hues (front and back), or even a print for that matter, which I am not sure the coin has on it, it is refreshing to see a totally original and fresh coin slabbed MS66FBL, rather than a "dipped out" or "conserved" specimen.
