Yep, and NGC was so impressed with my work they graded it MS64.

just back from ngc - sorry, batteries ran out before i could get a really nice shot, but you get the idea. Obverse rainbow is not as pronounced.

Run of the mill 39D Merc. Of course the color is highly enhanced as I read a day or so ago that this is the only way members here basically show thier coins.

The statement was buried in a thread yesterday or the day before. No need for names as the guy knows who he is. Just struck me a little strange that someone would say that about the very nice coins that are shown here for the most part. Sure some are enhanced but what the heck is the difference. I think basically the subject was about Ebay stuff but got turned around a little as usual.

I find this somewhat questionable, yet still fairly attractive:

The 2nd coin is graded MS65 and is white on the reverse. The 1st coin is graded MS64 (?) with double sided toning.

Here is an 1881-S PCGS ms-64 Morgan with a very unique toning pattern. The coin is at least proof-like, the colors have that flash and there is the absence of cartwheel luster that one finds on toned dmpl's.
