I like to try to out-guess the fine Voters at the AP, so this week I will post my Top 12 Playoff bound teams before some of the games have even started!! It's been a tumultuos Saturday of College Football. For the second week in a row the Number One ranked team has lost. On top of that a total of 4-top 10 teams lost and another won but lost their starting QB for an indefinite period. What a mess, but here is who I think the Top 12 should be:
Notre Dame --- unless they happen to lose.
Miami --- unless they happen to lose.
Ohio State
Indiana
'Ole Miss
Texas Tech
Utah --- unless they lose.
Tennessee
UCLA --- unless they lose.
Georgia
BYU
Kentucky --- unless they lose.
You may notice that I left out Texas and Alabama. With two lossee each I have lost faith in them both and feel they need to earn their way back in and hope for other teams ahead of them to lose. I'm also thinking that with the loss of Julian Sayin that Ohio State may start to fall if his injury is bad. After seeing Indiana play they are the team that I think could be trouble in the Playoffs, no matter what seed they are.
Comments??
Basebal gu?? Please tell me how wrong I am.

Itll be ND or Miami. No one really cares about that anyways at this point and OSU played like trash but still had a better roster, got out coached, and lost that game if that dude have any body control and didnt catch a wide open perfect pass out of bounds
If ND wins its them. If ND loses and Miami wins its them

I don't think anyone can even mention Texas as a contender any more, Arch Manning is not that good and the rest of the team is not good enough to carry him
BYU kept getting up first downs on 4th down but they hung on and won. Miami is really the only other one that can beat ND rest of their schedule. Maybe SMU but doubt it. Navy and Army wont unless ND implodes

Actually, the SEC is still what it always was, a couple of good teams with a bunch of average teams. That describes just about every Conference. The SEC owes its “status” to Nick Saban, the program he built at Alabama and the hype machine we know as ESPN. The SEC’s resistance to travel west of the Mississippi and north of the Mason-Dixon line(aside from Texas) kept it insulated from exposure, aided by the fact that the “Bowls” tended to be in that region of the Country. College football is changing now and we can all reminisce about the good old days. But were they really that good?? I follow the Buckeyes and enjoy watching them play in different areas of the Country, from Texas to Minnesota to Los Angeles to New England. Next year they’ll do a home/away with Alabama and in a few years the same with Georgia. It’s better when this sport is National and not Regional.

ok i'll bite
which two are the good teams?
this is season is unlike any other. 1-10 are practically interchangeable, and the past two weeks alone have bore that out. the gap has never been smaller.
you could get drunk off the transitive propery game

They are all good enough to beat anyone and inconsistent enough to lose to anyone. We will refer to them from here on as... Da Bears.

Yea the 4 and 5 star guys no longer get stacked three deep at positions, if they arent going to start in 1 year max theyve spread out. Georgia always kinda craps the bed on one game for a wake up call when they get too comfortable and Bama still dont like the coach but the days of 2-4 teams nation wide are long over.
The nation wide thing is just dumb. No one cares when Cal goes to BC or SoCal goes to Rutgers and the players and teams hate doing it but its not their choice

Considering Miami almost got beat by a 3-3 team, who goes to number 1? Ohio State?
Miami, OSU will be 2 they werent impressive at all
Ohio State just beat a TOP 5 TEAM on the road. Miami gave up 35 points at home to a unranked team. Buckeyes are 1 point from being undefeated.
Ohio State - 2 wins over ranked teams.
Miami - ZERO wins over ranked teams
Ohio State should be number one.
It honestly doesnt matter at all, theres still half a season left. Historically if 1 and 2 lose and 3 wins they become number 1. Every 1 just loses anyway at some point this year.
ND and Indiana both lost their first real game of the year and OSU couldnt have played any worse and got lucky with the win., ND should have never been 2

Again who cares theres half a season left
Ohio State didnt get lucky. It was a hard fought win. Their defense played solid and Jeremiah Smith made the winning TD. Ohio State is the first team to beat Indiana on their home field since 2023.
You cant make one case for Miami being #1 over BYU.

They did get lucky. That guy was wide open and just had to get his foot in bounds and they lose. He knew he screwed up the second he caught it and realized he didnt have spacial awareness on it. OSU blew the coverage and got bailed out by his bad footwork. Theres no debate

3:18 left in the game.

What a great Saturday - Alabama AND Georgia both lose!!!!!!! Can Notre Dame make it a trio?

Ohio State might get the #1 ranking.

Ho hum just another insane week of College Football 2026 version
OSU is lucky they are on a bye because they do not look like they have a good option at QB without Sayin.
Agreed about ND and Miami if they both win tonight
I don't think anyone can even mention Texas as a contender any more, Arch Manning is not that good and the rest of the team is not good enough to carry him
Tennessee whipped our ass and made us like it.
The early fumbles were brutal but maybe schedule an easier game the week after GA. Either way the defense was playing soft

i have never seen this much parity in the SEC
Miami struggling against a bad Florida State team.
BYU looking good so far.

Now, after all that’s already happened, Notre Dame is in trouble and Miami isn’t faring much better.

Im just waiting for the kneel down turnover at this point.

So is the "few weeks" Sayin injury going to turn into a 6 week injury?
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
What the Hell? Is it the "Luck of the Irish" or BYU trying to give the game away? Amazing the Irish have only got 2 field goals out of those gifts.
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
I think a few weeks will translate into as long as they can win and Fahey can play competitively.

Following these last games it’s entirely possible that 6 of the top 7 teams in the AP Poll could lose, with Ohio State being the lone team to win.
That’s almost impossible to believe.

OT in Miami!!

When is Venables going to realize that Mateer is not the guy with how bad hes been this year. Wasting an elite defense having a trash offense.

3 points at halftime doesn't mean anything. get real bro. you don't know what you're talking about. Remember that?
Go ducks
And BYU goes up on the Irish, looks like Miami might be the new top dog.

I felt that would go on to cost ND. They had at least a FG on that drive.
