Here is mine. Is it actually rare or valuable?

I saw in another thread that there's a graded Error that says Obverse missing clad layer

    An article states
A normally struck Trump dollar has a weight of 8.1 grams. This Trump dollar missing clad layer has a weight of 6.1 grams since its missing the obverse clad layer.

It looks like your coin is copper colored on both sides. Can you weigh the coin to see if it weighs less than a regular gold-colored coin?

Link to the other thread or at least the name of the title?

I saw it in the thread on the Trump Gold Coin

Wasn't a tiny sample to me, but based on the 50,000 bags out there, it wasn't much. and there was great variation within each group. If the exact numbers help anyone:

Group 1 (had them within a week of them going on sale), 26 bags and 8 rolls (2800 coins) - 122 July 4th privy total, way better than the 80 or so I should have gotten based on the 1/35 odds. 6 rolls had nothing, one roll with one, one roll with two. Several of the bags had zero, several had 1 or 2, a few were really good with 10, 13, 15 each. Nearly all of these were opened live on YouTube.

Group 2 (ordered 10/1 and got them 10/7), 40 bags (4000 coins) - 53 July 4th privy total, about half of the 114 I was hoping for based on the 1/35 odds. Several bags had zero, several had 1, a few were better with 7 or 8 each.

Thought I was closer to even, but I guess my total of 175 is a bit below the 194 if it was an exact 1/35 even distribution.

Thanks for the update. Sure, in a population of 8.75 million, it's a drop in the bucket.

But 7800 coins are not insignificant, and they do tell a story, given the wide divergence in what is supposed to be a random distribution. 53/4000 = 1.3%. Strip out the rolls from your first batch, and you have 119/2600 = 4.8%. Very statistically significant difference. Especially, " a few" really good bags out of 26 versus ZERO really good bags out of 40. 40 should have had close the double the number of good bags. Not less, and certainly not none.

If it was really random, 66 bags of 100 coins each should have shown similar results between two groups shipped at distinctly different times. Not necessarily each individual bag, but the group of 26 as compared to the group of 40.

They did not. And, as feared, it was the first group that was rich, ensuring that the ABPP buyers got more than their fair share. I don't think that was a random coincidence. That said, at least they did hold some back for distribution in the later batches, as opposed to having none, and really pissing people off.

Thanks for sharing. And again, if you really thought it meant nothing, there was no reason to post it, was there?

Did they change the restock time again or have there just been none over the last week?

The latest USM published sales figure would suggest that there are just a few remaining to sell.

    • Bags: 49,945 sold against product limit of 50,000
    • Rolls: 149,924 sold against product limit of 150,000

Not meant to discourage your morning search but would temper expectations. Makes that red "add to bag" button lighting up even more magical if it happens.

Based on reported found privy coins, does anyone happen to know the latest datestamp of rolls and/or bags and if the privy coins were more/less or about the same as earlier boxes?

My latest delivery of rolls have a date of 9/21 -- any reports of later dates and what was found?

You determine that by reviewing all the posts in this thread, rather than asking someone else to do that for you.

Pop Report as of October 16, 2026
PCGS has graded 4,022 privy Trump $1's now.

    Looks like we have a 61 and four 68 non-privy Trump $1's.

A 68 should bring in a few bucks I would say.

Looks like nearly every July 4th privy graded at PCGS is bulk dealers getting special labels like the Advance Release or First Day of Issue. I would imagine that submissions by regular folks don't have access to most of those labels or are unlikely to pay extra for those anyways. I know I didn't pay extra for First Strike or any other labelling on my submissions. Thinking that quite a few more to come in the next few months when they get to the regular orders.

I sent in three privies and one non-privy for First Strike and special label. Why I felt the need, I don't know, as it basically doubles the grading cost. The special label was no extra cost with the First Strike fee. I will probably send in a few more for regular grading next month.

I have 7 privies at PCGS and requested the 40th Anniv label as a differentiator. Probably won't be many of those on the market as compared to thousands of FDOI.

Mine might be some of the only plain blue label with nothing else then... all of them were minted on July 4, 2026... all the special labels seemed extremely irrelevant for this coin

Anyone else catch this? Supposedly they're going to produce more July 4th Privy Trump dollars. I haven't listened to the actual interview yet, but here's what the show notes said (red highlight/box mine):

Superb collections are built more by omission than by addition.

I watched the interview... that is NOT what Hollis said. He said that more Trump Dollars are being minted and will be available at bank and on the Mint website. He NEVER said that those coins will have a chance at July 4th privy coins. All those were minted on July 4, 2026. Can't go back and mint more of those.

I went to the Philadelphia Mint for a visit last week and confirmed with employees that the Trump July 4th privy $1 coins were not produced on July 4th. They were produced before that date.

Does someone have documentation that states these were in fact minted on July 4th?

just what it says on the US Mint website... and in addition, Director Hollis made it clear in the interview mentioned just above that they were struck on July 4, 2026 which took some additional effort as it was a Saturday and the Mint has union workers.

Perhaps the Mint employees were thinking of the July 4th privy quarters which were certainly done before July 4, 2026 as people had them in hand just before that date?

So if the newest batch of Trump dollars will be available on the US Mint website, I am guessing they will use a different Product Number -- assuming there won't be a chance of finding privy marks in the newest batch. Maybe they will put a twist on it and produce them at the Denver Mint with a "D" Mint mark. Then everyone will need to get the Denver coins to have a P & D "set"

I know the USM can and will do whatever they please, but can they legitimately sell rolls and bags of the same dollar coins, same mint, quanity, packaging, etc on the website, when they list product limits of 50,000 bags and 150,000 rolls?

If they were or if they wern't, is irrelevant. All we have is the mint's word. The question now is, is the mint going to contaminate (augment) the current 250K supply of July 4th privies?

I doubt it, but hey, what do I know.

They also should not augment the current product limit number of rolls and bags with more of the same. If they are I should be able to return unopened rolls and bags I purchased with the understanding they were limited in number.

"Legitimately" is a loaded term here, since they can literally do whatever they want. That said, this is a circulating base metal coin with no mintage limit. If they want to sell more through the website, they could easily do so in different packaging, in different quantities, without creating a brouhaha resulting from changing published limits.

Very unlikely they will do so, however, since the attraction was the privies, and there won't be any more of them. It's extremely likely that, if they release more at this point, it will be through banks, not the website.

Agreed. If they do so with some sort of change, packaging, whatever, it is fair game. I guess we will see early November.

People who have unopened rolls or bags from the privy time frame might want to consider selling them immediately if they were planning to do that at some point. Once non-privy coins go on sale I don't know how you could tell the difference.

Trump Bucks were at 20,500,000 when I looked a while back and this morning they remain at 20,500,000 Philly & zero Denver stamped out. There's like 8,750,000 released in $100 bags and rolls. 250,000 made on July 1st PRVY or not made on July 1st. Are the 8.75 million included in 20,500,000 ? Still after all these days & weeks I am sitting on two sewn shut bags from 8-25-26 stamp sourced direct from USMINT. Still avoiding disappointment so they remain sealed in their white cardboard boxes. At somepoint I'll be : HAPPY HUNTING !

Yes. Gold Trump coins "will be available for purchase on November 5th exclusively from the United States Mint."

This is listed right in the Upcoming Releases page of their website. Not a mystery, and has absolutely nothing to do with anything they previously sold. Other than they look just like the other coins.

The coins that will be available in banks in November are undoubtedly the unaccounted for 11,750,000 base metal coins not already sold via the website, Also not a mystery.

People keep looking for puzzles, riddles, conspiracies and mysteries where there are none. They are literally telling us exactly what is going to happen.

The only outstanding question is how they expect to be able to sell up to 75K one ounce gold coins at a $1,000 premium to spot if they will not be marketing them as part of a limited edition privy lottery. TBD on that, but announcing such a high maximum mintage without sprinkling winning lottery tickets among them will only serve to suppress sales, and that simply cannot be their goal. Certainly not with these, of all the coins they are releasing this year.

Pop Report for October 20, 2026.

Am I seeing things? Two non-privy Trump $1's graded MS69 and First Strike attribution to boot.

It's amazing that a circulating $1 in a Mint roll or bag could yield such a high grade coin.

    Did someone say moon money?

edited to add: Only 111 First Strike privy Trump $1's have been graded by PCGS.
