How does any PF70 come out of that set up? I almost feel like the coins from a few decades ago stood a better chance. (Not to mention the greasy fingers of a news reporter that just ruined someone's proof set).

141,265 and from here on out, all are expected to ship on December 22. Doesn't look like they were really ready for this one after all. Not sure when they went to back-order.

My order is on backorder but I think they will ship in November.
Backorders seem to ship sooner than projected most of the time.

I have one on subscription, but thought I'd check out the traffic for the set. No waiting room, no nuthin', it was as if I just logged on at 3am. Although, the one I ordered today did go on backorder........and boy, it was quick, in and out, and I hadn't planned on getting the second set....and they're still there for ordering on backorder.......don't know what to make of this one.....

There was a waiting room at noon but I got in within 10 minutes
One on sub, one at noon...easy peasy, sat in the waiting room for about six minutes...sets are still for sale. Hoping they are in good shape- do they have a quality control team?
I stopped collecting the clad Proof sets about 13 years ago. You would pay $35 for them, and they were consistent losers. I like Proof sets. I figured the silver ones at least had some precious metal in them, so they became the annual set for me.
At $107, you had best hope that the hype of the cent and the Semi Quin Centennial coins holds up. I've got my doubts. There are too many of them.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

It's not always about making money. Sometimes you just want it for your collection to look at and enjoy.

That is very true. I find the silver sets to be more attractive, and I didn’t see the need to collect both.

Absolutely! I went with the cheaper option. LOL....
My single set showed up today. At first glance, it might be nicer than my silver proof set. I'll have to dig it out and compare them side by side this weekend.

I have 2 coming via subscription.
Just one from my subscription, so I don't even have to scramble in a few min. Gotta keep the run going.

Budget shipping $9.95 - Yikes!!
i subbed for 1 but thinking of grabbing one more just in case mine is not great quality. it's already on backorder for xmas
Yes, and with the loyalty free shipping the $9.95 is credited, and my total still shows $111.95. Try it to see.
Just checked my subscriptions where I has two sets. It says they have shipped
Turns out it was adding gift packaging, I have never had that before.
Still available!
Yes, I know many on here won't buy these but this is the only proof mint set I have ever bought.
I think these are worth adding to my collection.
Just ordered one set it's on backorder.

I ordered 3.
Anyone have the ATS number?

Zero. These are priced far too high for what they are. In my opinion anyway.
I only grabbed 3 for the Lincolns ..... one for me & two for my granddaughters
I grabbed two sets, also back ordered.
ATS is at 110,376 this morning.
