I see 12 as reasonable... I am having an issue with the obverse scratch(es)

I love the coin, but wouldn't be surprised if it had received a details grade for scratch or graffiti.

Ees not a scratch, it’s a flesh wound

What is a flesh wound? It does look like it goes under the star so is that mean a planchet flaw?
As you suggested It is straight graded.

Edit, I see what you mean, not terminal.

F15 without the damage. It would not surprise me to see it receive a fine details grade.

I was going to guess the grade but realized I would have been wrong based on how little had to be covered up on the label.

    F12. Recently acquired?

    Anyway, it looks like O-107 T-31 (R.5).

    F12.

Yeah she’s got a toned-over scratch, but the coin simply has too much going for it to detail it over that, IMO.

    Very nice 👍

I knew so I didn't want to guess ... but @Coinscratch knows how I feel. What a great coin overall!

I'm assuming with the issues it would be unusual for a fine to get the 15 grade (choice). Fine 18 also used to be used at one point I think. "Understanding Fine 18
    • Definition: An F-18 coin has moderate-to-heavy even wear, but retains slightly more major design details than an F-12 or F-15".

Yes, picked up at a small show in Houston last month. I think they had 40 or 50 tables.

I would net graded it to VG-10 because of the scratches. You can find these coins with original surfaces which don’t have them.
