The US Mint has posted an American Buffalo 2026 Anniversary 1/10 Oz Gold Coin for release on December 10th.

No pictures yet, but it must be a similar product to the 2008 version.

Any guesses on mintage?
they're pumping 15k on bom 4&5, or are they?
The 2008 mintage was 18,884 so anything less will be good.
Good, if you could get one and not be shit out by bots & buyers clubs.
HHL = 1 makes for a very busy site Dec 10th
The rumor on this is:
20,000 ,mintage
a reverse proof
a 20th anniversary privy mark
I kept hoping for a subscription option to show up. Looks like this will be a waiting room cluster luck. I've actually been looking forward to this one. I hope the price is reasonable.
The price will be about $600 each,
A must have IMO.
Yes! It’s a must-have for me, too! 20,000 will be a sellout on the first day and the usual wait-room anxiety.
Wish they kept the fractional buffalo going back in 2008. Anyway will keep an eye open for this
I think I may be "off" the buffalo going forward. 1oz Gold is just getting too much to budget. I'd be all over a 1/4oz proof, as it would be much closer to the original nickel. It was a nice ride. (sniff :'( )
As far as this coin, I was wondering what makes it special - hoping it was nothing. But it looks like I may have to dig up 6 bills for this. I mean, the 1oz 1776-2026 IS ALSO an anniversary coin, no?
Also, as far as subs, they dont seem to have that for gold, buffalo or AGE. So we all may have to duke it out in the waiting room. Good luck to all.
"Cluster luck".

That's gonna be close. The tenth ounce '250' AGE sold for $685 on March 5th; gold was a bit more then, $5,088/oz.

20,000 will NOT be flippable
just too many by at least 5,000
so there's a 20th anniversary Buffalo this year, but no 40th anniversary Silver or Gold eagles???

Why hasn't an image been posted on the mint site yet? Not even a likeness of the coin. It's not like it's a new design, or is it? I'm guessing dual date and maybe a liberty bell 250 privy? Why the cloak and dagger on this one?
I lucked out in 2008, I got one $5 proof gold buffalo in OGP and one $5 gold buffalo PR70
Ever Onward
I'm hearing 20,000 as well.
Two months out and still no image. Special Anniversary Issue. HHL set for one.
They have some pictures posted now. That "20th" privy is quite large
Wow, that’s hideous
The rumors were right, hoping the mintage is correct as well.
PS The blanks must have been a special order, so not sure why they can't tell us.
Images don't do the coin justice. Me no like.
I like the W mm and the "20th" part of it. I sorta like. Iwas there a reverse pic there as well?
Updated my previous post to include the reverse
I would have much preferred a duel date and “250” privy over a “20th” privy.
Thank you
Would be $590 at today's gold price.
I don't care for the dual date on these buffaloes, especially on this one, if it is marking the 20th anniversary. I'm also privied out, maybe a small bison along the line of what the RCM sometimes does on the maple leaf, otherwise less is more.
Happy 20th
Seems like a thoroughly distracting element.
I too am "specialed out", wearied by the endless gimmick products from the mint. You've gotta give it to them though, it's marketing genius.
Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you sumthin' . . . . that ain't an optical illusion, it only looks like an optical illusion.
My mind reader refuses to charge me. . . . . . .
wow, another privy coin (give it a rest), no thanks - I like my 2008 set better.
Now shows reverse proof and 20th Anniversary in description........
i noticed that change too. it will be a nice coin to own.
I was all in until I saw it. It looks cheap to me (the privy).

15,000 and it might sell out but not be flippable. watch the mintages posted
I'm with you. I didn't realize it was going to be reverse proof. I'd much prefer an uncirculated coin, or maybe even a regular proof. But yes, from the photos the reverse proof looks kind of junky.
As a unique issue, it doesn't need a privy in the first place. If the privy were on only a fraction of them I'd understand it.
Would the 20th privy have looked better under his chin?
After seeing the 20th privy mark they are using on this, and how much I don't love it, I'm sort of glad the Mint forgot to do a 40th anniversary eagle set this year

I like the privy.
Then again, I'm still invisible.

Many in coin club lining up to buy it. I am waiting to get a slabbed one.
The 20th privy does not look like a typical privy. Just oversized script.
These coins are starting to look like chop marked trade dollars in my opinion. Some of the recent coins have so many initials and numbers on them it’s beyond distracting…..JMHO…..
I think the memory of 2008 on this will propel a quick sellout.
