I did not see anything about this posted on forum. When I saw this in the recent ANA Numismatist publication (image below) I realized that I had not seen or heard anything from @coinsarefun (Stefanie Haydu) for a while. She had previously mentioned some health problems. I never met her in person but we corresponded several times and she was a valued numismatic colleague and customer. Below is an image of one of her favorite exonumia items.

Did one deal with Stef, 11 years ago. Sold her a 1983 Prestige proof set for the Wildly toned dollar. She got it graded, PF65 and said it went into her personal set. It was a pleasure dealing with her.

Never had any interactions with her, but saw her on the boards many times. Seemed like a very nice and genuine person. So very sorry to hear this. 😢

This is sad. I always considered her smart and savvy and enjoyed her posts and comments.

This news hurts my heart. Stef was a great collector and a longtime contributor to these boards. I considered her a friend. She was on here for 19 years, joining roughly the same time I did. We shared many of the same interests and exchanged messages somewhat often. You could really feel the passion in her collecting interests. She collected coin club medals, hard times tokens, Ron Landis issues, and just about any other oddball exonumia items you could think of. And she liked to research the history behind each of them!
Stef suffered from failing kidneys for years, and I know she was waiting for a donor. Dialysis five times a week was wearing her down. I wrote her in July to see how she was feeling, but the message went unanswered. I had a sinking feeling that she was gone.
Im going to miss her. I like to think she's up there with @Broadstruck now, talking about tokens and medals and getting their images ready for "Copper 4 the Weekend" posts. May you rest peacefully, Stef. The forums will never be the same.

Oh that's so sad to hear, I really liked Stef, she would always stop by my table at any coin show she attended and we would chat about her tokens. She had a great eye and a wonderful collection. We both loved vibrant toned coins and would discuss them every time I saw her. I'm so sorry to hear this, she will be missed!

I bought a couple gorgeous tokens from her back in the day. Sad, terrible, shocked. Great person.

I'm so sorry to hear this. She posted the most interesting tokens and other items, with great photos. I recall she had a photo setup that looked like a flying saucer! A long time ago I bought this token from her and later traded it to Broadstruck.
Both of them are sorely missed.
Sorry to hear. She’d contact me regularly whenever she had a submission come through me at PCGS. I noticed quite a few of her pieces at auction at Heritage a few months ago. RIP

I wish we had known. I would have thrown out some bids to support her family. I know she had spoken of health issues in the past but it is still so unexpected.
She struggled for many years with health issues.
She was a sweetheart.
She had a great eye for quality and a fantastic collection.

Thank you for letting us know this terrible news. I had corresponded with her over the years primarily about Ron Landis material and preserving the history of one specific piece in her collection. I never met her in person, but she appeared to be so nice and genuinely interested and excited about numismatics and several really niche areas of what we all love.

I met her at Long Beach and Coin Depot, we both did construction in Los Angeles and retired early around the same time her going to Vegas. She was into PCI SAE toners big time and got a bunch crossed. Gan Eden Stefanie...

Though we never met in person, we did exchange some messages about photography.
She really had a great eye for photography and cool tokens. She seemed a beautiful person!
