Okay, next question, if the privy mark are indeed only in these bags and rolls, does that include the backorder rolls?
Edit to add: sorry @jmlanzaf your post snuck in on me while I was posting this.

The product description on the mint's website says:Special offering: 250,000 Semiquincentennial President Donald J. Trump $1 Coins with a special-issue “July 4th” privy mark have been randomly included in the Rolls & Bags. These coins were struck on July 4th.
If, and that's a huge if, the privy coins are only in the rolls and bags and not the ballistic bags and possible rolls offered to banks, then there is nearly a 3% chance of a coin having a privy mark. Or, about 3 coins per bag of 100.
By the way, I do not see the July 4th dollar coin privies as simply concocted collectables. They were struck on July 4th so the privy represents the provenance.
Count me in, I'm only here for the Easter egg hunt.

Folks, it's time to stop assuming. I personally contacted the USM and was told the Trump dollars are not just being distributed as numismatic products. They are also being distributed through the Fed and the banks, so the mintage will be much more than the 8.75 million going on sale today. And of course finding a privy mark one will be much harder. The Trump dollars are being distributed through banks. That doesn't mean the privy marks are. The listing suggests they are in the bags and rolls as a "special offer". So, we're not assuming, even though I don't necessarily completely trust the Mint proofreaders.
Totally agree and hope we are correct

I'm also curious about the seeding of them. Since they went to backorder, did they hold coins back to seed them later? Or, did they seed the entire mintage (not just bags and rolls) and just need packaging?
I'm not completely trusting the privy distribution, but I bought some anyway. LOL
I'm feeling like they would be in a hurry to get the 250,000 off their hands and get them out in the initial shipments, BUT, this is the US Mint, so anything could happen.

Did the new cloudflare at checkout stop the bots? Or did the bots not come to play for this one?

2 bags, 2 rolls.
That was ridiculous.

I was talking about bags vs roll prices not prior issues.
But, since you bring it up, 4x face is a 30 cent premium per coin while the roll premium on the dollar coins is more than $1 per coin. So...idk

That was a complete mess. I was stuck in waiting rooms since I started looking 2 hours before release. 30 minutes before release and 20 minute wait times. 15 minutes before release and put in the other room telling me when the release is. Finally at release time, put in new waiting room with an over 1 hour counter. About 30 minutes after release I was finally able to place my order.
With that much site traffic, I was surprised there was any quantity left to add to bag.

I had password issues 😡 and got thrown into the waiting room on my phone when I clicked on the email link to reset a password. So, I just checked out as a guest on my pc.

The better question is what to do AFTER I open them. Sell the remainders or spend them. LOL

Hey, they work at the supermarket self-checkout.

This may be obvious but lets assume that there are 3 privies per bag. We all do not care for the 97 others so deposit at bank / use for FV = 154-97 = 57 for 3 = around $18 for a 250k mintage sitting president issue. I think thats more than fair and a great value! With potential for appreciation
4 -
If the distribution of the privies is properly spread out then a privy or two would pay for the entire order, based on current ebay prices. Of course, the prices will trend lower over time, either gradually or precipitously.

I’ll keep the privy coins and deposit the rest probably. I sure hope the description was accurate and the privy coins are only in these offerings.

Yeah. I got sucked into doing the same. That's why I'm leaning towards there being a broader distribution of privies. LOL.

I finally got in 5min ago and was able to get the rolls. two sets of them. 12:23pm central time. Couldn’t believe it. Tried the bags first but it kept going to pay now but the bag was empty. Happy to have gotten the rolls as I forgot this was happening today.

I should go back and find the discovery announcement again. It's just odd because if they were all in bags and rolls and the ABPP bought bags and rolls, why don't all the ABPP dealers have Advanced Release privies for sale?
Here's the relevant section of the discovery from the Coinweek article:
"Surprise July 4th Privy Trump Dollar Surfaces Days Before U.S. Mint Launch
