I’m looking at a couple and I just had some questions on eye appeal, solid for the grade, pricing to name a few.
So you may know a thing or two about them.😃
I have owned a couple of them, but they never stuck. I lost interest in them. I have an 1839-O $2.50, which more interesting. It has a much more interesting history.
I also own both the half dollar and quarter eagle. In my case I own multiples of the half dollar and only a single quarter eagle, but they are so cool with their prominent obverse mintmarks.

This is another coin actively hoarded, but since the book came out on the reeded-edge CBHs, and enthusiasts such as myself started pursuing multiple examples, I know for sure the supply has dried up on these. I remember circa 2000 when a very decent example could be had for about $300 or so.

There are a few 1839-O half dollars with 180 degree rotated reverses. Probably about 5% to 10% of the total. And often you can buy one without paying a significant premium for it.
