    I bought my 2009 UHR $20 gold eagle for $1200 from the mint….graded as a MS70 from PCGS and thought that was expensive…..Guess what they go for now? Not many things going down in price folks. Sure precious metals are a gamble (palladium for example) but they’re nothing a bad inflation report or unemployment number can’t fix….🤔😉

    I sold one for minimal over melt a couple months ago. Way more than I paid of course.

    There were about 250 in line for 1 of 500 coins. I’m number 8. Ticket must be redeemed before 2:00 or coin is released for sale to anyone.

    Having fun chatting with the employees. They said they will be a lecture tomorrow on the 1933s with presentations by the chief consul and that the interactor will be handing outside cards with images. Sounds like an amazing show.I wish I had known far enough in advance and made the whole four days of it.

    I think it’s probably one of the most beautiful coins the USMint has put out in a long time. 15,000 may be a lot to most members here, but when you consider how many that actually is, it’s a pretty small number in my opinion. My guess is when more people see the beauty of this coin and the accompanying medal, they will be a lot more popular than many here think. We shall see. Good luck to those who want one…😉

    The waiting room kept me out for one or two minutes after 12:00 PM. I managed to purchase one but the web site had a snafu where the Review Order button didn't work after I first clicked it without entering the cardholder verification code. I ended up having to reload the page, enter the CVC, and then click Review Order button before it worked. I was worried that there was going to be a nasty surprise with bots taking up all inventory but I managed to get one.

    Ok that wasn't that difficult...was let out of the waiting room at 12:01 and got it ordered and completed at 12:02.

    at 12:08, still says 6117 are available via the "ats" amount.
