Post up a great proof dime....I'd like to see more. They are small, but can be soooo pretty.

I would pick the 1857. It's very attractive and by far the rarest of the three.
1857! As much as I love proof Barbers, the color on that one is titillating.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
I like the Barber. I lover Seated coins but Barbers are my favorite series in proof. They just look so sharp and nice and the design really pops.

Thanks @lermish Yeah, the 1898 has a certain aura about it...The obverse device has great cameo frost, which you can't get from the photo. The color on your old 1881 is just dynamite....That's a favorite look for these coins.....

The Barber dimes can be spectacular in nice black/white contrast. But I've always been partial to proof Merc dimes. I would love to see a cameo proof merc.

That's a very nice example with good contrast, and it's close.
This is the one from pictures that is the nicest one I remember, but I wasn't able to attend the auction to see it in person.
My friend Eldo has the absolute best “Barber Shop” in the country - not just his Barber Dimes, but his Barber Quarters and Barber Halves as well!!! All are spectacular!!!

@tradedollarnut Hell of a dime right there....I should have known, Ex: James Stack....His coins always had an aura about them, and this one is testament to that.

I remember when Joe had that 1834 dime, and he told me I should buy it....Needless to say, I didn't and regret that decision because its a spectacular coin in every sense.

Right now this is my lone COINtribution to a proof dime thread. Not a toning monster like some of y’all’s lovelies, but still a sweet little coin. I need to create a video and/or animated GIF of it one of these days. It’s got some nice frost. ☃️
