This Is Die Clash Central, "How Can We Help You?"
I know that each of you must have at least one die clash in your collections. Let's see them. I'll start.
A die clash on a coin is a mint error that occurs when the top (obverse) and bottom (reverse) dies collide without a blank metal disc (planchet) between them. This extreme pressure imprints parts of the design from each die onto the other, leaving mirrored ghost images of the designs on future coins.
How it Happens:
The Process: A coin is stamped by two hardened metal dies. Usually, if a blank coin fails to feed into the press, a built-in safety mechanism stops the dies from touching.
The Collision: If the machinery falls out of adjustment, the minimum clearance drops to zero. When the hammer and anvil dies smack into each other, they press their designs into the opposing die's metal.
The Result: When blank planchets are finally fed back into the machine, the damaged dies will stamp coins that show faint, sunken (incuse) outlines of the opposite face's design.

All of these have chin whiskers and strong clashes by LIBERTY and one has the clash below feather that sometimes gets polished away and result in two feather variety.

This one has some really deep clashing from 6 to 8 o'clock on the rim, where you can see deep impressions of the first part of STATES from the reverse die (along with lighter clashing of the eagles with in field, shield at ear and scroll below bust).
Remarkably very little clashing shows on the reverse, although the die state here is the latest known and nearly retired.

Adding to the cool factor of the 1814 O-108 that @pursuitofliberty shared, that is the only die marriage with the obverse UNITED clash that I have observed in the whole CBH series. The E is tucked underneath the bottom of star 1, and D just touches the end of the bust. Here is a closeup of my earlier die state example:

The creepy Sun clash on the reverse!!! Went from Sun shining to Sun with shades.

This one has a neat clash next to Liberty's forehead. I've only seen one example of the full clash before the die got polished, and it was spectacular, reaching nearly all the way across the open field. The mint workers really put some elbow grease into erasing it, going so far as to polish away a small section of Liberty's cap near the back of her neck.

Clashes on both sides—obverse shows some of both wings, reverse has almost full pigtail, the chin line on the left wing, the clash at the beak is weak, the ends of the arrows.

An interesting dual denomination clash.
1864 2 cent with and Indian cent die clash on reverse. The profile of Liberty's face appears to the right of the 2. Sold this coin raw that I graded as AU-58 on Ebay around 2006. Was formerly FS-001.8, now known as FS-1901.
It is somewhat subtle. Even PCGS CoinsFacts does not have close photos of it.

On this example, note the buckled reverse die to the right of S (CENTS). This die was replaced by a different die that does not show this buckling. So the obverse is paired with two different reverses.
