So Soldier Field is done?
The Bears are moving to Indiana????
Yea Soldier Field ttheyre going to leave the question was just where. Theyre willing to put 2 billion into the Hammon site that they have been scouting but exactly where isnt confirmed yet. Theyve released a statement about it after the reports. Itll take a few years and nothing is finalized yet, but when the team itself is announcing its close
I dont like it. but i also dont like change in general.
I think that if this happens, there should be a name change associated. not only will they not be playing in Chicago, but not even in the state of Illinois.
to add, i feel the same way about the Jets and the Giants.

It's so exhausting to see the "click-baiters" on social media trying to get JJM out of MN via trade and/or create controversary for views.
A team with a sole "franchise QB" in Tarkenton, who left for a number of years to NYG, has minimal patience for developing another franchise QB.
The HC & GM messed up the QB room in 2025. Now many are trying to jettison JJM out of MN after 10 starts with a very mixed bag result. Throw in the Darnold won a SB drivel with Kyler Murray's trail of fired GMs and HCs, it's just mind-numbing.
If you remember their 1998 season, they started with Brad Johnson at the helm. He gets hurt, Randall Cunningham goes crazy with Moss/Carter/Reed/R. Smith and he lasts just one season. 1999 Cunningham is replaced by Jeff George while Daunte is on the bench and plays great in 2000 - then lays the ultimate egg in the NFCC with the rest of his teammates.
Sign me up for having two competent QBs - with injury issues - and Carson Wentz at QB3.
The Vikings could go 5-12 or 12-5 -- the NFL loves the drama -- it's just exhausting, as there's ZERO patience.
Theres really not a good place to put a new Bears stadium in the city. They could tear down the current one and rebuild but that leaves them homeless for several years. Northwestern is currently doing that and theyre playing games on their practice field. Other than the Cubs or White Sox there wouldnt be any close options to play on.
Hammond isnt far and the difference in tax rate is crazy, its over 100 million a year. The city and really the state thought they would stay no matter what. Arlington Heights would have been a done deal which was the initial plan but refused to invest in improving the roads so they moved on
Nothings finalized and theyre still negotiating but every thing from both sides right now and the Bears scouting locations big time says its really close
I liked the fancy option on the lakefront that the Bears proposed the best, but no city is going to agree to 2B+ in public funding. There would be surge pricing on torches and pitchforks.

If Butkus was alive he'd block it.
For over 100 years the Bears home games have been in Chicago and these owners are going to try to change that

Thank Al Davis for all this.
