Based solely on those images, I couldn't tell if it would straight grade or not. Is that chatter under the eagles left wing or evidence of a cleaning? The reverse under the eagle's right wing is completely overexposed... I dunno...

I don't see anything that would cause me to say that it wouldn't grade. Of course, I also don't see anything that would cause me to say that it would.

The coin looks straight-grade worthy, despite a light cleaning.

Hard to gauge luster from the photos. Based on the photos it doesn't seem to have the luster for a coin with that amount of detail. I would say AU details cleaned. Photos are a bit tough to garner much from.

My opinion is it looks harshly cleaned but it is hard to tell from those images.

Yours is a surprising opinion. On the one hand you state it looks harshly cleaned yet on the other it is "hard to tell" from the images.
It is a specifically harsh opinion based on a difficult to interpret photos.

We do the best we can with what we got and from those images I see alot of hairlines and they don't look light.
I'm not seeing the same on the obverse which is why I specifically added from the reverse.

Looks cleaned ... so I would not be confident in a straight grade. That doesn't mean it won't get one, but I wouldn't see it in one.

Based on the images, of course

Might straight grade but it does look dipped with the different luster shades. Wear looks like an AU55.

Likely to straight grade at PCGS, more likely to get a details grade at CACG.

The Peace Dollar a circ dog w crummy black spots. That one would put in 2x2 for junk box.

My advise buy crc PCGS or CACG MS64 or higher.

It’s amusing, but also very sad that a supposed dealer would suggest that a 1921 Peace Dollar belongs in a junk box. Amazing!😕

And did you consider the possibility that the coin might have been bought to flip or that not everyone is looking for “crc PCGS or CACG MS64 or higher examples”?

not only it's a 21 worth a couple of hundred or three, but i wouldn't have any 90% in anything called a junk box. sure it's called junk silver, but inside a coin store a junk box has numismatic garbage in it. junk silver, even culls, are better than slick buffs etc

I still am not enthusiastic about the 88-s. Both the 1921 and the 88-s would likely be enjoyed more in the Morgan Dollar and Peace Dollar album of your choice. The 1921 should straight grade likely at 45 with a shot at 50 depending on how it looks in hand.

I’d love to dig through your “junk boxes”!

And, in answer to the OP’s question; Yes, I think the Morgan would likely straight grade.
