Continuing my efforts to upgrade the SLQ semi-key dates, I'm quite pleased with this one. But I'm having difficulty finding 1919-D and 1927-S in appropriate grades ("appropriate" for my budget, of course).
I’m a huge fan of the Classic Head gold series! This coin has definite PL surfaces; the Block 8 variety was somewhat elusive for me to find nice & is now paired with the Script 8 variety I acquired sometime ago.

I got what I believe was an acceptable price on these 4 Philly rolls. I have the Denver Nickel & Quarter rolls in the mail & hope to get the Dime roll at a coin show next Friday. I know people think I'm crazy/stupid for buying these rolls and they may have a point too. However, the two voices in my head agree with my purchase.

Just arrived. John and MaryAnn will remember this beauty from a past @CoinRaritiesOnline offering. She is now in my collection and brought my 12 coin gold set to a finish. Very happy with this one.

Thanks @GuzziSport Still pinching myself 4 hours later. This one is pretty cool. I know it is not for everyone but so much history in this one.
I bought this one along with the Gold Dollar. I do not know the history of this coin. I will have to do some research.
This is DM #50 in my CBH collection. There are only 5 CBH's in Doily's with stickers. This is the only 1836. I could not be more thrilled to have obtained this one. A special coin in my collection.
.
A couple months ago, I started a thread about the 1839 issued coins. In a number of series, it proved to be a transition year. The coin below happened to be part of the final year of the Coronet Head Large Cent series:
It’s one of the top examples of the “Silly Head” variety; pop is 9/2 in BN. CAC pop is 4/1.
The package that arrived this week (from the same collection as all the others) had 3 coins in it. The Doily CBH, the Doily Gold Dollar and this beauty. The Type 1 DE completes my Liberty DE set. I had a 64+ CAC Shipwreck coin but hated the large holder and the fact it was cleaned/conserved. This one is very original. Just another old holder, Gold CAC gold coin.
.
.
Just got these back from CACG.
I really like these coin series. I did not think all 5 would come back with DETAIL Grades.
Oh well, I still like them a lot.

@pcgscacgold that gold dollar is off the charts! I’d love to see a shot of the completed set all together.

Newly acquired 1913 Barber Quarter, PR64 (mintage=613)—will send to CAC; some obv hairlines but I think it will pass as a 64.
