I’m a huge fan of the Classic Head gold series! This coin has definite PL surfaces; the Block 8 variety was somewhat elusive for me to find nice & is now paired with the Script 8 variety I acquired sometime ago.

I paid just over melt (at the time) to save this VAM 62 Long Nock from being melted. Yes it's a damaged POS, but VAM 62s are extremely scarce.

I got what I believe was an acceptable price on these 4 Philly rolls. I have the Denver Nickel & Quarter rolls in the mail & hope to get the Dime roll at a coin show next Friday. I know people think I'm crazy/stupid for buying these rolls and they may have a point too. However, the two voices in my head agree with my purchase.

I bought this one along with the Gold Dollar. I do not know the history of this coin. I will have to do some research.
This is DM #50 in my CBH collection. There are only 5 CBH's in Doily's with stickers. This is the only 1836. I could not be more thrilled to have obtained this one. A special coin in my collection.

A couple months ago, I started a thread about the 1839 issued coins. In a number of series, it proved to be a transition year. The coin below happened to be part of the final year of the Coronet Head Large Cent series:
It’s one of the top examples of the “Silly Head” variety; pop is 9/2 in BN. CAC pop is 4/1.

The package that arrived this week (from the same collection as all the others) had 3 coins in it. The Doily CBH, the Doily Gold Dollar and this beauty. The Type 1 DE completes my Liberty DE set. I had a 64+ CAC Shipwreck coin but hated the large holder and the fact it was cleaned/conserved. This one is very original. Just another old holder, Gold CAC gold coin.

Only 4,000 original mintage; however, many are nice. CAC pop in 64 is 10. This example is problem free & looks PL.

The 1937S Boone is a lower mintage issue of only 2,506 coins.
The 1938D Texas is a lower mintage issue as well at only 3,775 coins produced. The lowest of any Texas issued.
