With a pop of 60,000 don’t see it as a winner.

Could you point to the other silver eagles with mintages of 60 000 or less?

Since they are currently selling for $300, they were winners for everyone who flipped them.

Dealer here paying $300 a pop for sealed, unopened boxes of 3 or more. Was buying singles at $300, but now just 3 or more.

    https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/1121200/buying-2026-congratulations-set-300#latest

I'd buy a couple more if USMINT makes the last 19k Phillys of 60k announced available.

Such a vast array of thought-provoking choices this year and I got so far is a 2026 P ASE Proof & a $100 bag of 2026 D Saq Bucks.

    $335 out the door.

It was pointed out correctly that the mint has recently just put coin restrikes back up without notifying the public, and they sold out in seconds, so anything is possible with the 20,000. They also had no HHl on that relisting so if the same happens here they will be gone like the wind before retail finds out.

60,000 is a low mintage for an ASE.

Are there more than 60,000 collectors of bullion ASE’s?

There always have been. 100,000 was the number. Has it dropped? Maybe.

I'm guessing there are, and this isn't a bullion ASE, a one off of sorts. Yes there have been P mint proofs before, but this will be the only single date proof ASE dated 2026.

Really? If you think ANY ASE with a pop of 60K won't be a winner, you just haven't been paying attention.

They said they put 10 in a cart. They didn't say they bought any. That's usually the trick that takes too much time.

  • HalfDimeHalfDime Posts: 920 ✭✭✭✭✭

In the old days the mint would have put up the 20,000 as a preorder with a HHL of 1 and had an estimated ship date by now. Instead everyone is treated like a mushroom.

I guess my question is , how many coins out of the 60k will still be available ?

Just look at last week's sales report and subtract it from 60k. It's somewhere just under 20k IIRC.

The bigger question is WHEN will the coins become available again. If I were a gambling man, I would put the over/under at 15 Apr 2026 and take the over. Anybody able to do some US mint production rate math to predict when 20K coin can be produced, packaged, and made available for sale assuming all of the raw materials are currently in hand?

Latest sales show 40,064 for Congratulations
    that leaves 19,936 available.

The prices raw have gone up slightly, while the regular silver proof has declined to under $300. Once the dust settles it is likely the regular proof will sell for close to mint issue price, and these will go over $500 raw.

Has anyone ever gotten one of these at a 07:30 offering after the initial release?

I have not and I have not heard of any successes. I have tried every morning except today. I have only seen the add to bag button twice and when clicked it went to an empty bag, no longer available. So I have not had any luck with even bagging one.

Not even once. Have seen the dual date ASE Pop back up a few times, but not this one.

  • jshaulisjshaulis Posts: 987 ✭✭✭✭✭

Was able to click add to bag this morning. Unfortunately, that didn't actually add it. 🤷

Did not see the Congrats available, but the dual date was for a moment...was successful at snagging one of those. Come and gone in under 60 seconds.

  • originalsandmanoriginalsandman Posts: 160 ✭✭✭

Same was able to grab 2 actually as I still had 1 (showing in my cart but not really there) so when I added to bag was able to get thru with 2 coins.

  • changeofpacechangeofpace Posts: 89 ✭✭✭

You're not going to snag Congrats without automation. Some people are aiming hundreds of browser sessions at the thing and even if just a fraction get through Cloudfare, the coins are gone before your page finishes loading.

I have but one browser that I used last week to try to get one and kept refreshing the page to the point that the Mint gave me a 24 hour time-out for suspected use of automation.

You saw more than I did. Been there done that. Quite the surprise and rush when you see that red button show up, then disbelief and disappointment when an empty bag is shown.

That happened to me last week when I was trying to pick up a subscription to the silver proof set that was "available" but not available. I refreshed my cart so many times I was banned for the rest of the night. A full IP ban. Any device or browser using that IP was locked out. I kept trying on the cell phone IP for awhile. About an hour later it was back to remind me. Tried several accounts, never could complete check out with it.

They use proxies to avoid this

The mints check out system changing a year or two ago to require more clicks only increased the advantage automation has. 😞

I've never messed with a VPN. But assuming it would change your visible IP address, I think it would work.
