Today is Friday February 27th, so we move on to the Standing Liberty Quarter, Type 1 (with breasts exposed). This includes all 1916’s (the key date in this series) and some 1917’s. Many agree this is one of the most beautiful designs on U.S. coinage.

Thanks to @winesteven for keeping the thread going while I was out sick.
I don't have any SLQs at the moment, except in my Detector Finds album (no pics of those, and I never dug a T.1 anyway).
Here is the most recent Type 1 I've had.
My "best of type" was this white MS64 FH from about 25 years ago. (This small image done on a flatbed scanner is all I have of it.)
Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.

Good morning. It is February 28th. Looks like it is time for the Type 2 Standing Liberty Quarters.
Our type today is the Standing Liberty Quarter Variety II (1917-30).
I must once again fall back on my ancient Registry type set from 25 years ago, with the lousy small scans for images.
This 1930 PCGS MS65 FH OGH was my "best of type". Sorry I don't have better pictures of it.
For some reason I remember selling this coin to @tradedollarnut, many moons ago, and being a little surprised that a collector of his caliber would actually want something that a lowly collector like myself owned.

Once again, welcome back @lordmarcovan . Glad you’re feeling better.
Here’s a coin from my Standing Lib Quarter Full Head DATE set. I chose to do a DATE set for two reasons.
- There are only 14 coins needed for that set.
- I can pick and choose which mint to get for each year.
Since there are fewer coins, and I can pick the most common mint for each of those, that allowed me to afford higher grades for these coins.
This is my 1918. I bought it five years ago on GC as a MS66FH w/CAC. It then got the plus from PCGS via Reconsideration, which doubles its value:

In the past, @lordmarcovan asked me to fill in for him to “turn the page” if it appears he may be taking some time off. Being it’s after 4 am Eastern time, here goes:
Today is Sunday March 1st, so it’s time for the Washington Quarter, SILVER. While in theory the PCGS digital Dansco 7070 limits this slot to Washington Quarters dated 1964 and earlier, I believe like with the Roosevelt Dimes earlier in this thread, Silver Washington Quarters of ANY date are ok to be posted today.

Thanks for bringing us up to date, @winesteven.
Here’s a relatively cheap but very flashy one I had.
And a metal detector find, which was dug near a small toy “Captain Braddock” badge that was a kid’s promo from the 1951-53 TV show “Racket Squad”. There was also quite the Wheatie harvest in that yard, with Wheat cents dating back to 1912. This and a 1945-S War nickel were the only silver, though.

This one is for the type.
