Back in 1969, this obscure set was probably obtained through correspondence with the artist, Rocco Malanga, who would send back four 3 card panels designed to be cut into the 12 card set. They may have been distributed another way, too (not sure), but they’re baseball card sized and feature hand sketches of prominent Yankees. These sketches also appeared in some Yankees profile pages in the 1968-69 Yearbooks. Somehow, they’re in the Standard Catalog.

Just bought this on EBAY for $75. This is Dick Pole's rookie card. Only 75 PSA 9's. I now only need his 75 and 77 cards to complete the DICK POLE PSA 9 collection.
Mark Littell is famous for giving up the 1976 AL Game 5 homer to Chambliss which has been seen on TV hundreds of times.
I have been working on my 75 and 76 Topps sets and picked up a nice clean 75 Blyleven to go with my 76 Blyleven. When 75's are clean and centered they are beautiful; not that we already didn't know that

Nicely centered T206
Having recently sold my 1963 Topps Sandy Koufax #210 PSA-9 (for 2x previous record price for a PSA-9)...I have been quickly looking to replace it with a PSA-8 example having emphasis on a nice red nameplate and nice corners (still a corner guy) for the grade as well as having spot-on-registration since mine had an ink shift (off-registration) resulting in a blurry image and ghostly lettering and "pinstripes" on his jersey top. The ink shift on the 9 is noticeable in the background at the top of the fence. The ink shift also is noticeable where the ink is exceeding the black outline of the card at the top of the card...giving the eyes a dizzying experience after staring at the card long enough. Also...the centering on the back of the 8 is better than that of the 9. The 8 is slightly skewed and has some extraneous ink in the white left border. I am okay with these flaws...just wanted a decent copy in my collection without having to sell off more of my collection. Here are the two (2) cards side-by-side which clearly illustrates by comparison the off-registration of the 9.
A few for various Topps HOF sets I am working on and a couple that should join the Hall some day.

Not a huge pickup on this one, but a cool "full circle" pickup on my PC rebuild project. I sold this exact Thomas Elite in 2018 or 2019, serial #545/5000, so when it came up on eBay last week I just had to have it, despite the foil damage (was there when I sold it):
