    Good for wolfs on roofs.

    Smitten with DBLCs.

Filling out my type set I landed on an '06, lovely thing w/ a nice dark border and lighter interior.

is the dark boarder evidence of being dipped?

They’re great. No denomination on the coin gives them some mystique.

Here’s my Knob 6, Sm stars VF 30 (CAC) example.

Ah, but there is. Look at the edge.

    Affordability is very relative.

The longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth, that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice is it possible for an empire to rise without His aid? Benjamin Franklin

The third "side" of the coin...

Early Silver Dollars (1794–1804): Frequently featured the inscription "HUNDRED CENTS ONE DOLLAR OR UNIT" on the edge.

Early Half Dollars (1794–1836): Featured the edge lettering "FIFTY CENTS OR A HALF DOLLAR".

Well, it wasn't necessary to take a mortgage out for it... so there is that. :)

As long as an early half has some interesting features, I'm happy with more affordable lower-grades. Like this:

    In-hand I'm pretty sure it's an O-116 (R.3).

My 1806, does anybody know why PCGS doesn’t break out this type anymore? Knob 6 large stars. When they changed their numbering from 6074 it disappeared.
    Thanks,
    Mike
