Is this CC Morgan genuine

Got into a disagreement with another fellow on a different forum regarding this coin someone posted. I believe this to be authentic and the other guy thinks it's counterfeit and claims to work at Stacks. Any opinions, I'm not a morgan guy so I could be wrong but I feel like I've been doing this long enough to tell a counterfeit from a pic and this doesn't seem like one? What do the experts think?

Of all the fake CC Morgans, this one is the most fake.
Definitely leaning counterfeit. The denticles seem way too strong given the condition of the rest of the coin, although the CC mint mark doesn't scream counterfeit to me. The whole coin just seems "off".

Here's the one from Coinfacts... the rims look suspect and the mintmark looks "off" to me as well. Also, the surfaces look to be more worn than the details left on the coin would indicate if real... I'm certainly no Morgan Dollar expert, but I'd pass on this one.

It's definitely fake. Modern Chinese-made at that.

Looks fake, but with only 7 die pairs used for mintage, easy to confirm, esp since only 4 are the far date and only 1 has the CC tilted left, Vam 3. There are several die markers for the obverse and reverse to confirm if authentic although maybe the counterfeiters are getting better.
My first impression was "definitely fake" and a modern one, at that.

The mushy details are a red flag, as well as the usually faked "patina" on this coin.

You should be pleased that it has been confirmed as a counterfeit. Now you know for sure. If someone has offered to sell you should pass.

That coin looks super suspect. Surface is off, strike even on a more warn out morgan dollars is sharper. Plus 1889cc is a key day and their are probably 10 fakes of every real one of that year and mint.
Looks like a typical fake currently being made in China.
