Looking forward to golf. What I like about it from a betting standpoint is if you can make the cut it provides 4 days of action. And also seeing some great shots and a different course each week. Never boring to me, even if am not in the hunt. And some great scenery, Pebble,Augusta.

It is irritating and ya feel so totally helpless when some obscure BB player, nobody not even his own mother ever heard of, comes off the bench, gets hot, and steals points away from the star player where ya have a prop, to the point where ya miss hitting the prop.
Of course I get it, they feed the ball to the player who is hot, in the zone, or whatever, but it sure doesn't do your prop money any good. 😒
BTW - try playing a prop in the next game on that obscure player and see what happens. Then he'll shoot his usual 2 for 10, and miss all his threes.
i think i'm past the point of belaboring this topic, but i couldn't help but notice the Thunder-Jazz game last night. OKC was a monstrous 19-point fav at home against yet another crap 12-23 team. surely no NBA antics again, right? in the 2nd quarter, the Thunder were up 20. finally an easy W, right? with 5 minutes left in the game, Utah was up 8. it took a shot at the buzzer by SGA to send that game into OT, where the Thunder eked out a 4-pt win.
somewhere out there, someone decided to drop almost 2k to win a benjamin. congrats, now you can take that hundy and pay for your trip to the ER to investigate the chest pains you've been experiencing for the past 12 hours.
this should be inside a fortune cookie: Confucius say person who bet on NBA lower life expectancy for all of us
After abstaining from the OKC game, I decided to review my NCAA BB activity. While it was in the green, I thought I could possibly do better. So I changed it up a bit, mainly to make more spread bets vs basically only ML favorite bets.
Well I went 5 for 7 last night, and so far tonight a very nice 4 for 4 with two games still in play. One looks comfortable, the other is close.
One thing for sure, I don’t expect this high win rate to continue. LOL
I caught it as well, but in a different manner. I thought it might be a close game. But didn't initially play it. However when Miami was in Ole Miss territory during their first quarter drive, and the score was 0-0, the line jumped to Ole Miss +6.5 and I loved the math on that. So I then played it.
Believe me, I hated it when Ole Miss made that two point conversion, and I would have hated it if Miami had tied it with a field goal, to send the game into OT. I was rooting my arze off for Miami to score a touchdown in their final drive, which thankfully they did.
Very nice when we might take opposing sides on a game, but we all hit. I'm lovin' it. 😊

6 for 6 baby. Including catching the right side of a hook for a pleasant change. Had Denver +8.5 and they lost by 8. I'll take it. 😎
As previously stated I won't be betting the playoffs. But thought I would throw out 3 picks FWIW. Remember, I finished next to last in the forum picks contest so proceed at your own risk.
GB over Bears because I have an early SB bet on GB. Hope the Bears turn on the sideline heaters this time and no targeting of Jordan Loves head.
Eagles/SF only the under.
Texans over Steelers. Only because I wish to see Rodgers lose. He cost me 6 winning bets this year. 3 times bet him he lost,3 times did not bet him he beat my play.
Good luck everyone with your bets.

A while back, I decided to make a $100 deposit. I needed to know how much the profit boosts, etc, would affect a bankroll. Those boosts without question are definitely helpful. So far decent progress, now up 171%.
My bets are usually just $5 or $10, with a larger bet of up to $25 on a lock ML. This grinding style has worked thus far, and I intend to keep it that way. If the bankroll ever goes to $0, that would be the end of my experiment with computer sports betting.
Whether this trend continues, or it's blind squirrel finding some acorns, I'm still not sure. Probably the blind squirrel analogy is more appropriate. LOL
So am I the only one who absolutely hates the college football thread? I watch a great game, Ole Miss- Miami and then later look at the thread and its galaxy and perk making comments about the actual game, but the rest of them it’s still all about the best conference. And a great game is hardly discussed. 🤔
And it’s like that every year, so in addition to quitting gambling I’m done with that thread also. 🥳
I hope you guys have a good year gambling, I might bet on SB depending on matchup but that’s it, I even gave up scratch off tickets.
With the seemingly annilation of Oregon will be interesting to see the spread for the final. Don think the books will be too risky giving Miami double digits dog spread. That should say something. I'd like to see Indiana run it up just to test this theory.

here's the line at my book
and yes i could place a bet right now if i wanted to
I'm surprised such a small spread considering the beat down of Oregon and the other impressive Indiana wins. Seems a bit off. Maybe the spread will go up.

Another good night. 5 for 5 with two spreads, and three MLs on college BB - $5 each.
I played Canisius at +6.5 and they won by 6. Pretty happy about that call. Wondering if on some of these dogs, instead of the spread, I should play the ML for added profit? Well, at least not for now. Getting too greedy too soon could be a fatal error.

I've never liked talking smack regarding college football. Being a college grad and also a fraternity member. My fraternity is one of the top fraternities in the country. Most if not all major colleges have a chapter, and for me I wouldn't want to insult a fraternity brother's school or their football program. In my view, that's personal, and I just don't wish to go there.
Pros is completely different. That's a business and anything if not everything is on the table for smack. With pros, the smack it's not personal, it's business. LOL

My opinion is Sports are there to distract from the every day grind
I am all for smack talk and back and forth regarding anything sports related, obviously personal. attacks are not anything that I support over it but if it happens it happens
I don't care enough about college and as far as my Pats and Red Sox go I'm not even all that emotional over them anymore, I'm at the point where I'm satisfied with the championships they have brought in.
I'm into my money first so whoever I gamble on is who I'm rooting for, outside of that I'm always happy to see my Pats and Sox win but not at the cost of a wager lost

Reminds me of a story. So it was the old days of phoning in your picks and the amount of the bet to a book. The book would first give ya the line, and you could quickly make a bet or pass on the game. Most books only had one phone line, so the key was to get in your bets quickly, and get off the phone, so the book could take other calls.
Well I wasn't a whale, but wasn't small time either. Most of my bets were an even $100 which was a decent bit of money back then. I had been with this particular book around a year. He knew I was a Penn State alum, and he knew I was always going to bet Penn State no matter what. No money lines back then that I knew of, it was all spread betting.
It happened to be a season when Penn State was red hot, and covering the spread every single time. I knew the lines from buying a couple newspapers which had the lines in there. Penn State was -7 in a game, I forget the opponent, might of been Nebraska. So I'm on the phone with the guy and I say Penn State, and he says minus 15. That little SOB, in a milli-second I knew what he was doing. He figured I was gonna bet Penn State no matter what was the line. Quite devious of him right? Well, I quickly said gimme $500 on Nebraska plus 15. Well his pause was deafening. He knew he just made a big mistake trying to con me. I guess he could have just explained that he made a mistake, and restate the line to me, however he did take the bet.
Turns out Penn State won the game but didn't cover the 15, so I won the bet, technically betting against Penn State. I was hoping that Penn State would still win the game, just not cover the 15, which fortunately is what happened.
But in the long run, didn't matter, the book eventually won back the money anyway on future wagers. I knew hundreds of gamblers back then, some even very sharp businessmen and sports stats enthusiasts. And none of them were beating the bookies, and it wasn't even close.
However I have read over the past few years some seemingly credible stories about some making money in this computer betting era, including now countdouglas who is having nice success. I'm having some success as well. You've had some remarkable parlay hits. All that being said, only the long run matters, so we shall see how we are all still doing some time from now in the future. 😎
Excellent day going. Three for three in college BB, caught another right side hook. With a max bet profit boost now going with Auburn, leading by 24 points.

I hope i eat this 60. I want nothing more. but if my team takes it on the chin at home tonight against one of my least favorite opponents, i'll need something to mitigate the profound state of utter hopelessness i'll be in for days
Credit where credit is due to the Panthers. They had a very good season, and played tough in this game right to the end. I think they can build on that.
Hit a lot today, take away $45 on other bets that didn't work but I got 3 big parlays still going for tomorrow, like 2k worth of winnings if things line up again

This is mind boggling how many times i.lose by the slightest way possible
The bottom one i needed Payton Pritchard to hit 2 three pointere, he went 1 for 6
Other one I needed Wemby for 35 PRA, he got 33
It's insanity

Indiana game very tough.
But I've got a 30% profit boost on that specific game, so i gotta use it. The odds are in my favor.

With you on both games brother, good luck!
Gotta go with my fellow handicappers here and play the Rams.
Stafford has been very consistent throughout the season, and unless he unexpectedly reverses form, I can't see how the Rams lose this game.
Rams ML
70% equity - I should cash the **** out, but I'm too stubborn.
Can ya at least get one touchdown in the second half for crying out loud???
Rams finally scored a TD. The book only giving 90% equity with a 3 point lead?
They show no mercy. I'm forced to stay in the game, the math isn't there.
Blocked Punt
You literally cannot make this up
I ain't counting a single chicken yet.
Okay one chicken counted.
Two chickens counted.
Excellent day going. Three for three in college BB, caught another right side hook. With a max bet profit boost now going with Auburn, leading by 24 points.
Got an "anytime touchdown" 25% profit boost in the upcoming game.
Any suggestions will be strongly considered. If no suggestions, I'll probably play a running back, not sure which team?

Rams handled business, props to Bryce Young for throwing a good game as well
I got a LOT going on too much to type out but I WANT and NEED the Bears to pull it off
Da Bears are a second half team but I'm not confident
Down by 18 establish that run for 1 yard
Lol in the red zone break out the gadget play with a handoff 5 yards behind the line for nice loss
3rd and 4 , 3rd and 6 run run run then 4th and 1 in the red zone they pass
Hilarious
Ben Johnson won't be ripping his shirt off after this joke of a game
WOW
How the yell did you win that game? 😉
Every now and then a blind squirrel finds a nut!!
Perkdog's Sunday afternoon buffet:
Hit a lot today, take away $45 on other bets that didn't work but I got 3 big parlays still going for tomorrow, like 2k worth of winnings if things line up again
Gotta give that two thumbs up. Only one isn't good enough. 👍👍
