If I had a large bet on Texas I might have smashed my TV over that last series, 2 dropped pases one was a TD then a snap when Manning was listening to Sarkisian yelling some nonsense

Caught the first leg of my college parlay. Took Miami+9.5. Did not think they would win, but at least cover. I was impressed with their defense in their last game.
Rest of parlay as follows:Over 53 in Oregon/Texas Tech,ML Indiana,ML Georgia. Georgia was a weak play, so if parlay tanks will probably be Georgia. I think I posted this play before somewhere in a thread. Put bet in on 23rd.
Successful transactions:Tookybandit. "Everyone is equal, some are more equal than others".
I had no skin in that game, but I was watching it on ESPN digital gamecast, saw the score tied at 34-34, with little time left, and then went and fixed myself a quick snack figuring it would be a while until they began overtime. I come back and see the score now at 39-34. and thought I was on drugs or something, and I don't do drugs. LOL
Whoa, the Pare prop just hit on a 53 yard TD run. 💲
The game is iced, I just need around 50 yards passing from Brad Jackson. Slim chance there, as they're likely to keep it on the ground to run down the minutes. But that's okay, still a decent profit on the game overall.
Nice little TD drive to pile on the score. Still 9 yards short on the TD prop. Better not take Jackson out of the game, or that coach is going to receive a mighty nasty email from me.
They offered an interesting prop on Texas, ranging from -2.5 to -5.5 winning in each quarter. I was thinking about playing it, the odds were 9-1. However I've been having trouble winning these type of long shot prop bets. I just don't have close to the skill level as you do on this. And with the 0-0 first quarter score, that prop would have had a short life.
I'm not saying I won't try it again, but I need to focus the most on the game scores and the key individual props which I've been having the most success at. That being said, if you see something ya like in a long shot prop, post it, and maybe I'll take a stab at it. 😊
Probably the last drive coming up. Coach may take Jackson out of the game or just hand the ball off each play. I really hate this, when you know you're basically dead, when getting so close to hitting the prop, and the game is still being played. Oh well.

Quarter bets are very interesting, and even more interesting is the ways they can lose you money.
I remember a few years ago I had Alabama to win every quarter against a nobody and late first quarter their QB got hacked and fumbles and the defense ran it back for a score to make it 7-7 first quarter, then ofcourse the rampage started in the second quarter 🙄

Brutal.
Well the nice thing is about about sports betting, ya wipe the slate clean, try to learn from it, and move on to the next game. That is unless ya run out of money. 🤔

Yes, keeping the monies in the green is what we are looking for 😂😂😂
One thing I'm trying hard to improve on, is maximizing profit in games that look like locks.
Like the Michigan BB game coming up at 7:00. I mean Michigan looks like a can't lose, heavy favorite lock. And playing the ML is fine, it's around a 5% or 10% profit each time, and I've been grinding that quite successfully for overall profit in football and basketball. Although with baseball and hockey, it hasn't worked, I've basically given up on hockey. I might try it again come baseball season, not sure. I may just take the simmer off from sports betting.
Obviously the individual props on the upcoming Michigan game can add value. And often enough I pick the right ones to at least make it overall around a break even to slight profit for me. But to me, that's not good enough.
So I've tried to sometimes play some second team player props, trying to handicap, say a BB game, whereby the flow of that particular game can give them minutes and therefore opportunity to hit props. Sometimes I've succeeded, but too often I miss miserably. I probably should just stop trying to do this and focus on the areas which I'm good at and have been nicely profitable. But for now it's just too much fun to resist, waiting for that player to get in the game, get hot, and hit on some fat props. When it hits, it is very satisfying. Perhaps I'll eventually quit trying this, but not yet. LOL
Both the spread and O/U look like coin flips to me, and as I've mentioned before, I don't do coin flips. Minus the bookie juice, coin flips are definitive bankroll killers, long term.
What I'll probably do in that game is hope that USC gets hot in the beginning, grabs a decent lead, and the bookie computer opens up ML betting. Then I may hit Michigan,
College hoops is just as diabolical as NBA/NFL, my buddy just took a horrific bad beat
That is so sick.
Believe me I have had a steady diet of getting my rear end frosted this season, just constant reminders of why I typically do $20 plays, and sprinkle in occasional $50 and maybe a $100 here and there
I want to smash $500 and $1000 bets but I just know better
Comments
Iowa/Vandy bet is a winner so basically have a free roll for the other one
Might do something with OSU/Miami undecided
did i learn my lesson on these non-CFP games?
yes no
-5490.85
Wasn't worried. Figured it might be a shootout.
Now 14-14
I still like our chances.
If I had a large bet on Texas I might have smashed my TV over that last series, 2 dropped pases one was a TD then a snap when Manning was listening to Sarkisian yelling some nonsense
Infuriating regardless unless your a Michigan guy
total clown show
Happiness is wrapping up a prop before halftime. 😎
Outstanding call!
Thank you! 💲

bad news: i am currently at my low-water mark since the inception of this thread
good news: it's officially a new year as i type this
lfg
-5591.20
Oregon game:
Davison - anytime TD
Whittington - anytime TD
Lipscomb ML
Oregon game, live Over 29.5
Indiana ML
Hit Oregon second half ML
That's what I shoulda played. 😒
My parlay was cooked by halftime with a over play of 53 in the Oregon game and only 6 points was scored by then.
South Dakota State ML
If there was a prop available on Texas Tech getting shutout, it had to be at least 100-1
These are both winners
Take away $35 for 2 losing parlays since Bama is embarrassing today
I hit another small bet on the Georgia game
I had no skin in that game, but I was watching it on ESPN digital gamecast, saw the score tied at 34-34, with little time left, and then went and fixed myself a quick snack figuring it would be a while until they began overtime. Caught three more late NCAA BB games. Overall a very good day.
Since football season began, I'm up too much money. Figure I'd better start giving some back, before I receive a cease and desist letter.
Texas State ML
Brad Jackson 175+
Texas State game:
Lincoln Pare - anytime touchdown
Tied at 0-0 deep. into the first, Texas was a 21 point favorite
I got the ML in at 16.5 then coincidentally, they later pounded it to 19.5 and it ended at 21 like you stated.
Now 27-7 near the end of the 3Q, so the ML looks comfortable. However both my props are in trouble.
Texas was toying with them in the first quarter apparently

Two yards short, first and ten, at the Rice 27, two minutes left in the game.
Please don't do this to me, I'm beggin' ya..........
Just two yards short, whoever is in charge of this, gimme the two yards and I'll split the profit with ya.
Kneels, 😣
I knew it. 😒
Welcome to the losing by a yard or 2 club
It's rough business bud

Oops - they aren't offering ML on that game.
The O/U is 173.5

Football:
SMU ML
Mississippi State ML
Well, I just caught the California BB ML by one point, so I guess that helps even out that bad beat on the prop. 😎
Dam that +9.5 now on NC Sate, live, sure is tempting.
Still on the fence. Probably stay there. LOL
Hard to believe that NC State only has 18 points this late in the first half?
Perhaps a good opportunity for a second half rebound? I dunno.
NC State losing by 20 points at halftime. Spread now +14.5
I'll probably pass on it. Looks too easy. LOL
College hoops is just as diabolical as NBA/NFL, my buddy just took a horrific bad beat
