Standby. It's a Generac whole home (22kW). Supposedly it's pretty nice, but I wouldn't know because we haven't had any power outages since it's been installed.
I have the same exact model. Had ours installed in 2020. This thing has been a godsend here in Florida especially during summer storm season. Is yours natural gas or propane? And by the way, you are super fortunate to have had no significant power outages in 5 years.
Natural Gas. And you're right - I should be thankful that we haven't needed it. I'm glad you've been happy with yours. We had an ice storm where we lost power for 3 days over Christmas one year and we lost power for 4 days during a very hot summer and the pool was a mess for a couple weeks... my wife talked me into it and since then... not even a blip.

Even with the occasional outages we have here we have not had to refill it yet. It stays at 80 to 90% when it's full, the reason not 100% is that propane expands. After 5 years we are a tick below 80%. So glad we got one.

I'll see your above zero temps and raise you with several days of projected below zero temps (those -24 and -25 temps are air temps, they are estimating the wind chill to be in the -40 to -50 below range at that time).
-19 right now, wind chill is -40 below zero. I'm glad I have an indoor job. I was out running errands last night and it was about the same; it is dang cold.
