I'm eager to see what he's planning for 2026. He has already produced 1776-2026 silver eagle overstrikes starting back in 2022. I think it would be cool to see him do a 2026 version of one of the 1876 Centennial Exposition medals!

A crescent clip SBA plate coin from my error coin archive and a fire mitigated 55 foot pine tree original house owner planted 6 feet from house in 1994.
I asked for another 6 inches of cut, thus the stump & the 6 inch puck remain.

Dan struck no less than 340 items from the cancelled 1884 CC Morgan die pair 37 dies, which were over 130 years old and rusted. I'm sure that these dies are in better shape (especially the dies used for the gold 'cent" strikes which were far from a full production run).

Off top of my head there's more than 340 pieces made from 1884 CC obverse and reverse dies and in combination with S reverse and CC & S reverses muled together too. When something pops up I revisit the mintages of these cool issues. But I never counted them all in total, so I could be wrong.
It would not surprise me if Moonlight Mint bid up 2025 Omega canceled 1c die lot.
That is, I'm guessing cancelled dies are intentionally not structurally sound enough to withstand a high-volume minting process -- especially for a small die like the Lincoln cent.

The cancel dies hold up well when they get put back in the press. I hope Dan gets access to the Omega dies. I have some of his cancel $5 olympic strikes and a couple Martha Washington, though Martha are uncanceled obverse die strikes.

I personally do not like zinc cents. So any Lincoln strikes I do (whatever they are) will likely be bronze.

I didn't know about those dies being sold. What did they sell for ?
They would probably work fine. I have a US Mint 1996 $5 (Olympic) reverse die that I have used without any problems.
