    Youre talking about that

Not sure how many times it needs to be typed that Miami should have been over them all year and the the SEC and B!G championship game teams were not going to get left out

Its because ESPN doing EVERYTHING to sell Alabama over Notre Dame. 100% SEC BIAS.

The Committee has penalized teams in the past when it comes to CCG's. Heck, even FSU got left out two years ago for winning their Championship game. Bama got trounced and they have 3 losses.

    Not even close.

FSU was left out because their stud QB got hurt and they wouldnt be competitive in a 4 team playoff.

People that know college football know ND should have never been ranked over Miami. People also know that going 1-1 against GA and making the SEC championship shouldnt punish you

Totally untrue. In the past the committee has indeed punished teams for making the championship game. 2023 Georgia and 2017 Auburn are two examples. So yes, Bama should've been punished for just showing up.

2023 FSU won every game they played, even with their backup QB. They shouldn't have been punished.

FSU lost to Georgia by 60 the year they were left out theres no claim to that

Thats only because Georgia played against their subs. All the FSU players sat out that game because they were pissed for getting robbed of a playoff spot. And rightfully so.

The fact remains most of the country outside of the south believes that Bama is not a playoff team. It should've been Notre Dame.

Notre Dame can join a conference if they want to have a gripe

You just keep saying the same things over and over which mean the same response over and over. Join a conference pr beat A&M and Miami the two good teams they played

Georgia had ZERO opt outs in that game, while FSU had 25 opt outs including 14 starters. FSU played without their top two quarterbacks, top two running backs, top two receivers, starting tight end, three starting defensive linemen, two of three starting linebackers and three starting defensive backs. They were down 29 scholarship players in all. Thats why FSU got trounced. No one from FSU wanted to play after they got snubbed from the CFP Committee after going unbeaten.

ND would be favored over both Oklahoma and Alabama .

Honestly You would have to put Illinois in this draw because they beat both USC and the ACC Champion Duke.

The truth as told on the SEC Network is hard to ignore. The funny part is that we have a thread participant who knew the truth about Alabama back in September, forgot that truth in Oct/Nov and now in December is in denial.

I think he will be reminded anew on December 19th.

Wisconsin is a dangerous team beating B1G powerhouses Illinois and Washington. Wisconsin would easily be top 3 in the CFP if they weren't run by the evil cabal of Disney and Netflix who only wants the SEC to win. Go Bucky!

Wisconsin would beat Ohio by a wide margin of Smart to Dumb because Ohio is bad and Wisconsin is great.

Wisconsin is better than Illinois - beat them head to head. Also beat Washington. I don't get why ND isn't in CFP but what I really don't get is why they didn't look closer at Wisconsin.

@coolstanley said: WOW Michigan coach Sherrone Moore fired

Never saw that coming but it raises some interesting questions.
--- What does he know about the "SignGate" scandal??
--- How long has Michigan known about this?? I feel it didn't just happen after the Ohio State game.
--- If Michigan had beaten Ohio State would he still have been fired, assuming this was already known??

It's hard to feel any sympathy for TTUN, whoever and whatever the hiring process is for the Head Coach of Football they don't get it right very often.

Cus they refuse to join a conference and just make weak schedules overall. Their two real games they lost including one at home. SoCal was an okay win and why would they get in over Miami who beat them head to head

Moore was turned over to police after the firing. Michigan is say its with cause from an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.

I dont know if its true or not other than they want him gone and this is the go to schools use to try and get out of paying a buyout

Turned over to the police for what?

Having an affair with a staffer is not a criminal offense, obviously as long as it was with an adult and consensual

Not sure why but Michigan is saying they have cause to fire him and he was detained in Saline by the police and turned over to the Pittsfield Township police for further investigation.

Nothings really come out yet what potential charges would be other than he has been/was detained

I for one am sort of saddened by all this while being mad and disgusted at the same time. I can’t get past the thought that this didn't happen in the short term, it isn’t something that came about since Moore became Head Coach. Looking at recent events with the program at Michigan it seems way deeper than that. Moore’s problems strike me as being a symptom of something much deeper with the Michigan athletic program.

I would expect the NCAA needs to do some sort of investigation and do something since it seems the University can’t or won’t police themselves.

Agreed. Been a corrupt program for years now. Its also the NCAA's fault for not penalizing them for the sign stealing. All they got was a slap on the wrist. Before the Ohio State game a few yrs ago, they used a camera man to try to take out JT Barrett before the game by hitting him in the knee. The flag planting last year. They've turned into a low life program, and they need to clean house.

I recently learned that the thin guy on American Pickers and the girl from the shop on the show killed by poison the chonky balding guy. Nothing surprises me anymore.

That's not true. Caused me to check it out - but that story has no merit.

    Enjoy your collection!

@estang, imagine that, someone at the Sports forum posting fiction.

I don't understand how to make things more clear to some of you guys without getting out the crayons and drawing pictures.

My comment to galaxy, which was itself in the tenor of jest, was about how I can't believe what I read anymore. To illustrate that point I promoted a story, which is completely untrue, that has been going around the internet for a while about the circumstances of the death of Frank Fritz. A same-namesies situation as it were. Now. I know the truth of the matter here and that's why it was so useful in illustrating my point. I bet you dollars to donuts galaxy understood it - as he's not a moron.

But, because I KNOW my audience here I thought it was wise to post a comment which really connected the dots, while still allowing an air of intrigue on the matter as I didn't know the depth of the Moore situation. So I posted...

I can’t find anything really salacious and I’ve seen detained and arrested. As with the story I mentioned it’s hard to know truth from fiction.

So I just don't get it.

i'm not familiar with American Pickers, but yes i was able to infer what you meant. apparently you just disguised it a little too well lol.

definitely have be careful with what you hear/read, especially in this day & age. the stuff i feasted my eyes on about Moore was so damning that i wasn't even willing to type it until things became less nebulous.

in all seriousness, just short of him killing himself or someone else -- which by all accounts were viable options in his head -- i can't imagine him having a worse day than the one he had yesterday. dude went from being the head coach of Michigan with a beautiful family to potentially losing it all.........including his freedom.

    cautionary tale.
