I actually like all of these better as AU’s, because they are part of my circulated type sets, but here’s some of my better AU’s that might be contenders for being MS, maybe

I thought this coin was an easy 63/64, mint frost on both sides, well struck and no rub.
I wouldn’t have submitted it if I thought it would 58:
I like it Greg. I have a dozen and more 58s, mostly buffs and walkers.

Not exactly, but one dealer wanted to buy this as a PCGS AU55 based on what he thought it would grade, though it is NGC MS60:
Nice coin; were you trying to pitch it or was the dealer trying to rip it ?
He was running it down, PCGS real grading vs. loose. I showed him some second tier service holders and he spoke about "real" holders as opposed to Anacs and Icg.

Has to be that. The TV isn’t great but the luster is absolutely at MS level. I had zero concerns about surface quality relative to a 58 grade……..but I’ll take this one on the chin and try to learn from it. (I just included this coin in a post about a CAC sub and I was pretty surprised that this didn’t pass)
I’ll have to give it another exam when it’s back in hand. Good eyes and appreciate the insight.

This was from Richard Muzner's shop in Winsted, "Laurel City" coin.

Oh so close.

I think most AU58 coins could be MS on a given day, unless visible rub seen.
