Weak central strike, but typical for this die marriage. Surfaces don’t look too bad, with a couple scratches here and there but nothing distracting IMO. Can’t tell much about the luster from the images, but I’ll say XF40 on a good day. Nice 1807 small stars, nonetheless.

  • Here are a few first year 1948's toned. I have about 35 or more toned Franklins, all graded. So no artificially toned in my collection.

Sorry the picture doesn't do them justice.

  • One more toned, I really like the black circling the bust of Franklin. To bad it wasn't Cameo.

This is one of my favorites currently, I rescued the coin from a melt bin.

Undergraded? Hopefully my recently acquired Bust Half will crossover to PCGS straight-grade AU50.
    Pretty sure it's an O-110 (R2).

    You're singing my song @Mr_Spud

Are you saving the labels from your slabs?

Just for the heck of it, I take a picture of the coin in the slab, print it out, break out the coin and label, scotch tape the label to the picture and but them in a clear sleeve in the back of the albums.

@jfriedm56 - Are these two pictures the same set?

No. The first set is obviously one sleeve from a 1958 set and the second one is from a 1951 uncirculated mint set. I believe at the time I was trying to show the colors of two different Franklin halves in different mint sets. Zack

Never mind @jfriedm56. Now I see the dates. I should have looked closer. Thanks!

I did save the label, but it’s still in the broken empty slab plastic, I saved that too.
