Thankful to have this AU 58 1861 $5 gold piece. Had one in the past that I sold, probably one of the few U.S. gold coins I truly regretted giving up. Glad I have one now in my collection and it is an upgrade from my previous XF 45.

Thankful to have this 1804. I purchased it in 2025 from APMEX of all places. I had passed on so many nice AU58's that I thought I missed my chance on a nice one. I was so happy to get this one in Mint State!
I am thankful for many of the coins I have in my collection, and more so for the friendships forged within the hobby. I just feel blessed to participate sometimes.
So many coins I could show that would be "one of one" coins to me. The best in class for grade, overall condition and eye appeal ... that I have seen.
This one certainly captures that for an AU55

For this year, I must say that this 63+ CAC Eliasberg coin is the new piece for which I am most thankful!
In anticipation to win it at auction, I had to sell some coins to raise cash. The sales price compared to guide might be ridiculous to many, but I didn't care.

Had to drive home in a snow storm but our daughter Allison took us to a live performance of the Minnesota State Orchestra which was done while a screening of "The Princess Bride" movie was shown. Almost as much fun as coins; but that is "Inconceivable!". James
Not coin related but very people related. I have never been to the Minnesota State Orchestra before. The smarty pants drive by drive had me park in a part of the garage that would have forced my disabled wife to make at an hour long trudge. I decided to try for help and got it.
I drove to the exit and told a young man there we had forgotten my wife's disabled park pass, had parked in the farthest entry, and needed easier access to the show.
He tore up and cancelled my first $15 dollar pass. Opened a special gate and let us park in the VIP parking spots that are right next to the entry. Then unlocked 2 security doors so we could enter straight into the hall. Who knows, he was very young and may someday grow to be a coin collector. James

Purchased it raw in March 2025. . .it completed my ASE set. . .added the nine 2025 ASE's (still waiting on the USMC PM) to the collection. . .It will be interesting to see what the USM comes up with for the 2026Q ASE series. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
As a kid in the early 1960s, I never dreamed I'd be able to buy a coin, much less the wonderful coins I now own. Yes, I have coins that are more "special" than others, but there are too many to pick out. I'd rather just be thankful for all my blessings.

It was one of those one of a kind collections with uber pq bust quarters that just does not come around every decade. I knew the prices would be multiples of so-called price guides and decided I was willing to pay whatever to get the coin. So I did. I was all in and prepared to bid what ever was necessary. Maybe I am the one who failed bc maybe I can never recover my money if I sell. But sure happy to own in either case……………...

Numismatically speaking, it’s been a great year as I’ve picked up several amazing coins, but I’m most thankful for this one.
