Here’s my 14-D that’s I’ve had for decades. Every now and then I take it out of the dark and enjoy looking at it. It has a great strike and attractive toning to boot.

When I first started putting together my buffalo set, strike was of Paramount importance. While this one is far from the monster color, I think it will be exceedingly difficult to find this date better struck.:

Here’s 16-d graded PCGS -61. I like this coin quite a bit as it looks like it was struck from old moth eaten dies and with the color it makes a one of a kind coin.
This 16-d I purchased raw for $200 if you can believe it. It’s finally graded out at to a PCGS 66+

I just picked up these four PCGS Gen. 1.2 Rattlers on Friday from an old collector, where the coins had been locked away in a safe deposit box for decades.

I am not a big "toner guy" so I can't show you any of those.
I have long admired this piece. It is the 1836 Satin Finish Proof Buffalo. This coin "don't get no respect." Collectors prefer the brilliant Proof, but to my eye this piece does a great job of show casing the Buffalo Nickel design.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?8 -
Here is one I bought raw and was able to photograph before I sent it to NGC. It came back MS64 and I was happy.
