This was a fun rip Chris. I have 2 boxes but never thought of opening - I've had them over 30 yrs. In 1992, I bought a 79T vending case with the expectation of putting together a minty set - when I saw how an entire run can be OC? Lost the courage.
I've had a good experience just watching you open all those great unopened products over these many moons.
How many 10's are we looking at if this was ripped 5 years ago! Now, my assumption - not so many (???)

Hey Mike - good to hear from ya!! Yeah 79 has been tough for me on centering and I'm not sure I will try anymore of it.

WOW...1 of 1 is Rarer than some of the 50 and 60's PSA 10 aarons...got to be worth a lot of $$$ it would seem.
Much lower demand and no nostalgia. I'd take a mid 50's Hank Aaron in even 7,8,9 any day over a Hand Garon calculated manufactured rarity. It's a border clamped over a partial index card!
BTW how much is Aaron's auto worth on a plain index card? Not much, and there are PLENTY of his autograph on paper or photos out there to manufacture thousands if not tens of thousands of other "rarities"
But Yes a Very Nice pull or what ever it's called in these situations

Good points...prolly PSA 50's and 60's aarons have a much higher demand and therefore higher price than a 1 of 1 card. It is interesting at any rate

Then go buy the cards you want its as simple as that. I don't see you spending money ripping or hitting anything old or new. Just buy what you want and move along instead of insulting what people enjoy. DUH.

Apologies. My only intention with that post was to state to HOMETOWNSPORTS why the 50s stuff Aaron in high grade is (or should be) higher valued . You are correct it has no place in this thread.

Thanks and appreciate your PM. Old stuff is still the king of collecting. I still have my 54 signed Aaron.
Out in a deer hunting blind right now. When I get a chance at a computer Ill share the story behind the cut auto Aaron. From discovering I hit it to finally taking delivery. Hank is my favorite of all time and I think he might have had some divine intervention.
I recall the many times when as kid or teen I would spend the day covered in Deer Urine out hunting with my Dad. My sisters insisted it was an improvement for me.

Here's the story on this Hank. I bought the 3 Break spots pretty much anticipating I wouldn't hit anything even though it was 20 cases. It took a while for the 20 case break to even fill/proceed and I kinda had forgot about it until it popped in my head one day so I went to watch the REPLAY. I was messing around trying to see what was hit without watching the entire replay and stumbled across the 1/1 George Brett Bat Knob hit. I was pretty excited to see it and eventually noticed comments from those who watched live at the time that "the very same guy hit the 1/1 Aaron Cut Auto!!". I was like Holy Crap and then back searched until I found the Aaron being hit. Aaron is my all time favorite so it was really a fun moment. I did also search my Willie Mays spot but nothing was hit. Here is where it feels like Hank Aaron himself intervened ----->>>>> Eventually my George Brett Bat Knob arrived but no Hank Aaron with it. I gave it a couple days and finally talked to the Breaker. He told me he was already on it and that the Aaron had shipped by mistake to another Slot Holder who had called to alert them that although he loves Aaron it was not his hit and it was returned immediately so that it could correctly ship to me. I couldn't believe it, but I know it was an honest mistake and there are still good people out there THANK GOD who are honest. The BREAKER was very apologetic and was prepared to go above and beyond for me. No ill will and I'm just glad it worked out. By after all this time I had obviously already seen what the card looked like on the Break Replay but when it finally arrived and I held it in my hand and read the "Best Wishes Hank Aaron" it was a little like Divine Hank Aaron Intervention!!
I got into quite a few 2025 Topps Baseball Diamond Icons Breaks. I like the Diamond Icons because its a mix of Legends, Veterans and Rookies. I have about 60 sent off for Raw Card Auctions on EBAY and then I kept some of my favorites that I am starting to take pics of.
Super Bowl XXV Original ( First ? ) NFL hologram Ticket. 1991, Tampa.
The eye-catching hologram measures approx. 2.25x3.25", and it may have been issued to an individual who worked with several Super Bowl halftime sponsors.
NOTE:
No team logos are present on the ticket. Hmmm ?
The game went down to the final eight seconds and the Bills' Scott Norwood sailed a field goal try wide right, and the Giants ran out the clock, giving Bill Parcells, and the Giants a 20-19 victory.

Planing on ripping anything crazy for the holidays? I try and open a few packs myself with the family on Xmas. Last 2 years we opened 1959 fb cellos. I couldn’t find any I liked all year but I do have 1 pack so far I plan on opening. When I was 11 my parents got me 1 1981 bk pack and I remember pulling a 1981 magic Johnson wax card face out on Christmas Day. Graded a psa 7. I watched some YouTube videos of box breaks of this stuff. And 4 of 5 time when magic was pulled 2 cards in front of him was jabbar. So I found a pack with jabbar showing and I plan on opening it hoping to pull another magic j. Might get a pack of something from rea but not sure what. I have a full box of 1959 fleer 8 card packs and also 3 extra 8 card packs. I don’t have the stones yet to open an 8 card pack yet but I was thinking of possibly opening them not the box but the 3 packs. To hopefully prove the #68sp was only issued in this first series print run. 30% chance with 80 card set. Packs also don’t have gum so they won’t be destroyed like most pre 60 wax. Would be epic. I don’t open packs like I used to and I enjoy All your posts !! Thanks for everything you share!

This was a fun rip Chris. I have 2 boxes but never thought of opening - I've had them over 30 yrs. In 1992, I bought a 79T vending case with the expectation of putting together a minty set - when I saw how an entire run can be OC? Lost the courage.

Good luck if you do - 82 is fun!!
A month or so ago I jumped in on a 20 case break of 2025 Topps Tier One "Pick your Player".
Rather than go for the modern fellas I tried for the Legends. I picked Mays, Aaron and Brett.
I hit 2 out of the three!! Both product chase cards!
1 of 1 Aaron Cut Auto and a 1 of 1 George Brett Auto/Bat Knob.
Nice pulls!!!
Live long, and prosper.
That's the nicest Hand Garon card I've seen - really clean Monte and the Fe Mitt card ain't too shabby either.
You pulled some nice cards on that rip. I've never participated in one - who was it? I used to watch a lot of Layton Sports and Jaspy's.
