Cowboys off to a really good start this season. Record now at 23-1

Oh sorry, I read that wrong.

Well, what can I say. When you lose to the Pussycats, you have hit rock bottom.

Offence, I give them a B-. I question the play calling at times. Like 3 straight pass completions for 10 yards lost each time.

I have an unwritten rule. Never complete a pass way behind the LOS. Just throw it away.

Defence, Pitiful!! On that last poss. of the Pusscats with 4 minutes to go Dallas, should have just walked off and let the score, because they are

going to anyway. Then Dallas gets the ball back with 3:50 to go and a chance to tie it or win by 1, going for 2.

Bottom line, I'm not watching another Dallas game until Fluberpuss is FIRED, tared and feathered and run out of town.

    Dimeman out

Always looking for original, better date VF20-VF35 Barber quarters and halves, and a quality beer.

One might compare Jerry Jones with the late George Steinbrenner. Both of them were often involved with getting involved in their team’s personnel matters. Once in a while George would find a good player on his own. My view was the Brian Cashman was the brains of the franchise.

Jerry Jones is independent like George Steinbrenner, but he makes far more dumb moves. Letting the keystone of his team’s defense go was dumb. The way the Cowboys are now, they might as well hire the school crossing guard from the GICO commercials to play defense. Jerry spent big bucks to hold quarterback Dak Prescott. That was a good move, but when the defense gives up 30 to 40 points a game, and offense scores 20 to 30, you are usually going to lose.

Interesting comparison. I hadn't thought of that before, and I agree with ya. Both men are virtually exactly alike in many ways, with a few differences as you pointed out.

Not sure which franchise is worth more, might be the Cowboys. But of course both are in the category of the most valuable sports franchises, perhaps in the world. Not sure if there may be some European or Asian sports teams worth more?

I don't know what the record is for points given up in one NFL season is, but the Cowboys will shatter it this year. I'm thinking fluberpuss' defence

is good for at least 700 points!!!!!!! FLUBERPUSS DC COACH OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their 2025 Opponent PPG would, surprisingly, only be good for a tie for 25th all time. I agree they can do it though. 2025 could be special.

I saw the over/under on points given up this season by the Cowboys is infinity.

Well, there you have it folks. The Flubberpuss defense made Jacoby Biscuit look like Tom Brady! He is an absolute Mastermind at devising a defence to hold you under 50 points. I don't care how good you are you are not going to drop 50 points

on the well oiled Flubberpuss defence. Several have come close but no cigar. Even when we get a sack or 2 and it's 3rd and 30, we turn around and give up a 35 yard pass play!

I am just in awe of Flubberpuss. Coach of the year is already a lock for Mastermind of Defence Flubberpuss!!! I hope Jerry gets so mad his head explodes!!!!

Dimeman out! Time for 10 or 20 Daquries!

Other than the fumbles and interceptions, the Cowboys didn't play a bad game.

They are on pace for 523 so far (277 for 30.8/gm). The record was last year for the Panthers with 534.

For context, the Bengals have given up 300 so far so they're on pace for 567.

Young, good looking guy, making millions a year, just made a sports play any athlete would dream about...and now this?

For some reason the words of Mick Jagger came back to me when he spoke about Brian Jones:
“Fame doesn’t sit comfortably on anyone’s shoulders. But some people’s shoulders don’t seem to fit it on at all.”

Perhaps that's not exactly applicable in this case, but there certainly are some similarities.

    You're right.

CTE could have been in play here.
