From Dimeman:

have been a Dallas Cowboys fan since 1960, when they became a team. Through thick and thin, mostly thin for the last 30 years, I have stayed true.

Well, as everyone has probably heard, the idiot owner just made yet another stupid move sending Micah Parsons to Green Bay. It's not the first blunder

and won't be the last. But it is the last straw with me! Jerry and his idiot son, AKA Dumb and Dumber just let the best defensive player go rather than pay

him what he is worth. I'm DONE with them! Jerry has the worst GM (himself) in the NFL. I hope the Cowboys go 0 and 17! That will be hard to do since

they get to play the Giants twice! The fans, that go to the games should stop and stay home. Complaining won't hurt Jerry, but empty stadiums will.

I can't put into words how STUPID Jerry Jones is!!!!

Signing out, Dimeman

Hi Dimeman - I know you're reading this. Hope you're doing well.

Unfortunately, the only "competition" for the Cowboys this season will be a fight between them and the Giants, as to which team wins the coveted third place prize in the NFC East.

Good news though. Dallas is currently in first place in the NFC East. Of course that's because the teams haven't played yet, and they're just listed in alphabetical order. 😂

    Dallas
    0 0 0
    N.Y. Giants
    0 0 0
    Philadelphia
    0 0 0
    Washington
    0 0 0

Something that I always liked about Dimeman. He's got among the finest taste in PCGS coins that I've ever seen. He prefers his coins with original toning, and I am the exact same way.

For example, give me a beautiful brown undipped PCGS 64 Indian cent, over a bright shiny dipped PCGS 64 Indian cent, any day of the week. 😊

    good ol dimeman

wonder if he still gets drunk off of strawberry daiquiris with his better half

JJ dragging his feet on Parsons to the point of him leaving shouldn't surprise dime or anyone else. i know this isn't exactly an earth-shattering revelation, but it's not about winning with Jones, it's about business. sure, if his team was actually relevant it would be worth even more, but when you're at the top spot @ 13 billion, you don't lose sleep over botching a contract with your best player and thus giving him away. he's printing money with or without him, and that's all he truly cares about.

they will never win another chip while he's alive, and when he moves on his son will continue what he started

mellowed out some. I'm 78 now and realize the Boys are going nowhere as long as the Jones family ownes them. I know that makes SteveK happy. LOL The Eagles will continue to be a good team with the owner and GM

that they have. Jerry Jones and his stupid Son shoudn't be allowed to own a team. I still will be watching Football and be rooting for whoever plays Dallas. They should get a REAL A$$ kicking week 1. Right Steve?

I have two opinions on this, as a GB fan.

first, yes, it's probably a good trade for the packers regarding the draft picks because that's a pretty good bet vs. what you're likely to score on draft picks. so yeah. picks for parsons and I'm 100% team trade.

second though, meh, because that is a lot of $$$ for 12 sacks a year. and yeah I know it's more than that as he's a generational edge rusher and he's gonna disrupt lines and pressure the QB and scare the NFC central for the next few years, at least, most likely, assuming he stays on the field. But... you can put a LOT of production on the field for $47M/year.

I don't think it's time yet to look at this and determine a winner. If I was a Dallas fan I would be pretty irritated right now, but I would also be reminding myself that he's 82 and time is a fickle mistress. It just takes one strategically placed flight of stairs....

Perkdog - I'm leaning that way.

BGR - It won't help if Jerry passes, his Son is just as STUPID! The NFL should force Jerry to sell the Cowboys to someone who will hire a good

Headcoach and a GM who knows how to build a team and just sit back and write checks and STFU!!!!

I think it is laughable how Jerry is trying to justify this trade with the fact that they can get 5 players with the money saved by moving Parsons.

We will see how this plays out, Jerry! What will these 5 new players do for the team. We all know what Parsons does. He disrupts the other teams' offense and causes terror in their backfield! Nice try Jerry!

I know everyone is ragging on JJ. Let’s look at this from a financial, business and football standpoint. If JJ gave Parsons his $47M a year the Cowboys would have 70% of the cap invested in 3 players. 3!! No chance to sign Bland to a new contract. No option for decent back ups and new contracts for OL. Sure Parsons is a generational player but now they have money, two first round picks for 2 years. The Packers are in a win now mode and honestly they can’t pick the draft for sh$t.
The Cowboys weren’t winning anything this year so this only plays out 3 years from now. Honestly, I might be in the minority but I think it was the smart move for both teams

I think some day Dak will get to the Super Bowl. No joke, seriously, I mean it.

Of course he will have to buy a ticket, and sit in the stands like everyone else. But the important thing is that he got there.

Who ever said that piling on can't be fun. 😉

  • Dave99BDave99B Posts: 8,723 ✭✭✭✭✭

Well, I don't know where to start. Well, yes I do. The Cowboys need a new DC. You can have fluberpuss! What an idiot! I guess he didn't notice that someone needed to be put on a spy to Hurts. Hurts is NOT a good runner, yet he singlehandedly enabled the Eagles to get 2 of the 3 TD's in the first half. He was wide open every freaking time. I could run down the field if nobody was there to stop me. Put a spy on him and he never gets past the LOS running! Eagles lose this game and only score 7 points in first half if not for Hurts getting free runs.

Second, the taunting call. I hate the rule! But don't blame the zebras...blame the player! As stupid as it is, it is the rule and the players know it and still do it. Any time a player cost your team 15 yds on a bone head move after the play is dead.....he is to blame not the zebras!!!!

I remember watching Dick Butkus play a while back. He would pick QB's up and spike them and then stand over them and dare them to get up! That's 2 15 yarders now. Ruffing and taunting! How the game has changed!

Did the Boys miss Parsons?! I can't say YES loud enough! Great move Jerry!

And last but not least, the Cowboys have 2 better runners than Jayvonte......where were they??? And thank you Sanders (ex Eagle) for the turnover!

I can't wait for the next defensive game plan by fluberpuss. If I was the owner he would not have been allowed on the plane back to Dallas and Oh fluberpuss you are fired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must confess, I'm fascinated by the Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey, I don't think I've ever seen a kicker quite like him. I mean, just look at the distance he was hitting from against the Giants last week, it's ridiculous.

  • Dave99BDave99B Posts: 8,723 ✭✭✭✭✭

Well folks this season is going pretty much as expected. Fluberpuss HAS TO GO!!!!! He was crap in Chicago and he is crap in Dallas. He reminds me of Jason Garrett, an idiot on the sideline that has no clue to what is going on!

I'm sticking with my prediction of 0 and 17. We really didn't even beat the Giants. Their defense was just a little worse than Dallas.

The next game with GB will get ugly REAL quick. I wouldn't take Dallas and 33 points. #1 will sack Dak at least 5 or 6 times, hopefully ending his season.

I hope Jerry is enjoying this, he certainly deserves it. What an idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cowboy fans should stop going to the games. Empty seats will get to Jerry. Just complaining won't. All he cares about is money and being in the news, even if it is for being stupid.

    I really am enjoying this!

Did I mention Fluberpuss has to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????????????????

i've said this before and i'll say it again: does Jerry care about the product he sticks out on the field? sure he does, but only to an extent. one thing a lot of DC fans don't realize is, when the valuation of your NFL franchise looks up at no one and is $2.5 billion clear of the Rams who reside in the #2 spot.........and you've won 4 playoff games since the last time you won the Super Bowl three decades ago.........winning is clearly secondary. JJ is a businessman, first and foremost. and credit where credit is due, he's a good one. but he is a mind-numblingly horrific owner/GM. quick, you have 30 seconds to name 5 Cowboys. if you can't do that, let that sink in. a franchise worth 13 billion and you can't name a handful of guys on the team. he has no business being a part of the day-to-day operations. but let's think about this logically. what are the odds of a man who has created the world's most valuable sports team stepping aside because he is inept and has driven them into the ground? no chance. zero percent. the Cowboys are his playtoy until he no longer possesses the mental capacity to wreck them or he passes away. my team just beat the brakes off of his, and we're a disgrace. think Jerry is embarrassed? think that will keep him up at night? come on lol. dude saws logs like a hibernating bear every night of his life, because when he wakes up his team will be worth more than it was when he went to sleep.

as much as i loathe Cowboys fans, i do feel sorry for them. as long as JJ is alive, that team will never sniff another SB. and even when his time on earth is done, it's not going to magically get any better. and that's because his son will then take the reins. i'm here to tell you the only redeeming value Stephen Jones possesses is his first name and the way he spells it. you know what they say about the apple, the tree, and how far it falls.

sorry, dime. bust out the margarita maker, get drunk with mrs. dime, and go make boisterous whoopee.

  • stevekstevek Posts: 30,586 ✭✭✭✭✭

Jerry was handed a gift on a silver platter with Jimmy Johnson and his vast knowledge about the college players to be drafted. Plus Johnson was one heckuva football coach.

Just a guess, but in my opinion, I'd say if Jerry just handled the business end of the Cowboys, and allowed Johnson to handle the football end, the Cowboys over the years would have won at least 5 more Super Bowls, perhaps more. Maybe even a lot more.

  • Dave99BDave99B Posts: 8,723 ✭✭✭✭✭

You are right galaxy27, Jerry's Son is just as stupid! The only way to fix Dallas, is for the fans to STOP going to the games. Empty seats is the

ONLY way to hurt Jerry. Although a 1 and 16 record this year might get Jerry to jump off the balcony of his Penthouse apartment. He would probably

screw that up though. I hope #1 takes Dak out for the season.....he is the most overpaid QB ever!!! Go Packers!
