67 DDO?

Also* This came from an original Wayte Raymond holder from the 50's
I does appear original save for the print that doubtfully can be removed or somewhat toned down. MS66 is my opinion.
66
Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.
What's the variety

64/65. Would have to see it in hand.

MS64 !! I know. Is it worthy of sending in for a gold cac? I am puzzled. I thought a 66 for originality or at least a 65. I know.. the toning is obviously not the best but its obvious of its original skin and blueish luster visible on the left side of the field on the obverse. Caught my eye
If you look at the trueview looks like a RPM D/D but didn't get the attribution either
best looking 64 quarter ever
I'm not loving the eye appeal, which is why I didn't guess a grade earlier. The cynic in me believes that if this coin were in an OGH at the MS64 grade that it would have a better chance at a gold sticker than being in the current holder. Obviously, I can't prove that at all, but it is in the back of my mind. I would guess a green sticker for this coin, but I see little downside in sending it in with the hope of a gold sticker.

What the hail! It should be a 66 CAC bare minimum. Send to CAC no questions asked.

I had the grade correct above and I can explain my thoughts. It has a rather large hit on the nose along with a few small scattered areas on the face/neck. It does not have great eye appeal thanks to the darker toning and finger print and spots under the motto. Luster is somewhat subdued for a higher grade WQ.
I think if you sent it in for the variety and got it regraded at the same time, you could possibly get it in a 65 holder but it seems accurate. Im just not certain it is financially worth it. I love the series but never got into many of the varieties other than the type B/C reverses and the OMM.
It looks like a scrape -> machine doubling
which one do you see?

CPG also has one to the north and west FS-501
Honestly I would have graded it AU58 for the rub on the hair curls over the ear. The print is highly distracting and overall the tone is not pleasing or attractive to me. It might get a green bean but if so it would be one of those where I personally would disagree with CAC and certainly would not pay 64 money let alone a premium for it.

Not impressed. Sorry
My quess was MS66. The D/D doesn't seem to match the FS variety. I see PCGS Quarters graded MS67 and I can't believe they went through 3 graders viewing the coin and pass with an MS67. Many times I would grade them them a point or two lower. I've seen so many MS66 graded Quarters since that is the benchmark for the majority of my sets. I have many raw quarters that I feel should grade at MS66+ or MS67. One of these days I will have to send them in for grading. It will be interesting to see the results.
I would have guessed 65 or 66. But, like others have said, not attractive to me at all.

while we are here, has it been to cac?
Nah it has not, after looking over the coin even if it stickered green its not worth paying 20+$ for it. Paying for the service is worth more than the coin itself lol
I imagine that coin was in a mint set. That’s why it has a fingerprint. Although the eye appeal is not outstanding, I think that MS-64 is conservative. Maybe the graders didn’t like the fingerprint.
