    Baserunner sighting. LOL

Well the Big Boys handicapped it right. The Dodgers can't score chit.

The problem is the Phillies can't score chit either.

Post season baseball is a bore. The Red Sox got knocked out by the Yankees, what else is new? It sucks where all the games were played in New York. Two in New York and one in Boston would have been fair.

The Phillies will lose to the Dodgers. After that, I don’t care. I won’t watch an inning. The current Phillies are like the team in the 1970s. They played well in the regular season than folded in the playoffs. They need a Pete Rose to give them some winning ways.

You're right, Phillies need another Pete Rose.

This truly was an abysmal showing. Harper looked like a little league batter out there.

Runners on second and third, no outs, and they've got no chance.

    Zero.

  • stevekstevek Posts: 30,729 ✭✭✭✭✭

    Now 4-3.

Nope they're not sucking me in.

    Final score 4-3

Triple play to end the game.

    Coming up.

The odds are -1000000000000000000000000 the Phillies will lose this game.

Dumbest fn play I've ever seen in my life.

I told ya. I've seen this ending too many times before.

This thread is now officially abandoned.

Off in the distance you could hear the call of a lone wild thing.
The base's turned into black holes, as the base runners, again, slowly faded.

    BOO ! Happy Halloween !

It’s like the Red Sox against Oakland in the 1990s. The post season was not worth watching because the series was over before it began. The Phillies just don’t have what it takes to win in the post season.

Phillies bats finally get hot in the bottom of the 9th. Score goes to 4-3. Runner on second base, in scoring position with no outs, and the "brilliant" manager decides on a sacrifice bunt? Are you kidding me? Then the runner gets thrown out at third base. So now it's runner on first base, with one out. The idiot manager single handedly absolutely killed the momentum. Dumbest play call by a MLB manager I've ever seen in my life.

In that situation the dope manager plays to move the runner over to third for a sacrifice fly to try and tie the game? No genius, you play in that situation with hot bats to win the dam game right there, in that inning, you most miserable worthless piece of incompetent garbage.

It's still not as dumb as Pete Carrol throwing from the one yard line rather than using Lynch in the Super Bowl against my Patriots though lol

So at home, the Phillies lose two games. But on the road as a heavy dog, they win tonight's game handily.

I'll gladly take the win, but they're not sucking me back in. Not yet anyway. LOL

Tough way to lose the game but scoring only 1 run puts you in a situation to lose

I was rooting for a Philly Brewers series

Wow to hear people talk on Facebook they make it sound like Orion Kerkering made the biggest postseason blunder since Buckner! I hope someone if they hadn't already might remind him that even the great unanimous HOFer Mariano Rivera was the goat (the old fashioned kind)...TWICE! 2001 WS and 2004 ALCS to be exact. And remind me again who the goat of Game 1 of the 1988 World Series was? (hint: the Mariano Rivera of that era)

Shades of 1993 Mitch Williams crucification. He received all kinds of threats. Real or perceived not a good look.
