When I was in the throes of completing my Type Set (7070)... Large Cents by Date... and Buffalo Nickels, I had multiple pages on my watch lists with a wide diversity of coinage represented. Now that I've completed a number of these sets, it follows that my watch lists are down to just multiple representations of the same coins: (in no particular order) $3 Gold to finish US Gold Denominations; 1795 Half Dollar to complete major Type (without the Draped Bust SE... :-/); 1787 Fugio Cent (first contract coinage)... and a 1652 Pine Tree of Oak Tree Shilling (first coins struck in the "New World" and I've always wanted one!)... These will fill out the remainder of my Box of 20.
So... if you're up to sharing... what are the top three coins on your watchlists? I'm sure there will be a bunch of key date searchers. Anyone else looking for esoteric type? ...lol!

Beyond "clips", for which I have automated searches on eBay and several auction houses, I have a couple dozen additional eBay searches reporting results to me every morning, The ones I am most invested in now are specific dates for contemporary counterfeit silver trimes and Buffalo nickels. I also search for certain rare Whitman bookshelf albums, but those hits are fewer and further between.

I'll refrain from going into specifics on my current watchlists, but many years ago 1903-S Morgans and 1856-S quarters were among a few i kept a watchful eye out for.
I have not one single watchlist or list of wants.

Not telling you any of my current wants… that would be foolish.
Previously, I looked a long time for a nice, original, well struck 1921S Walker.
Finally found one at the very end of 2021, so that I was able to complete my set with an acceptable example.

A number of fairly obscure early Lincoln DDO, but on the type coin list a bust dime, bust quarter, and also a seated liberty quarter.
For the types I'm mostly looking at MS58, preferred PCGS with CAC green, so they don't come around that often, although I can go with an MS63 if well toned and not too expensive.
Number 1 is an arc toned Morgan dollar with the arc in the 8:00 position. It's the last one for my coin clock project.
Next would be a decent looking 1836 reeded edge half, and a nice circulated VF-XF 1856-S half.

Missing dates and upgrades for my pillar collection. I've created a spreadsheet with identified targets (yes, specific coins) I am looking to buy, on the open market for now but possibly through a dealer later. One example is a Bolivia 1767-1770 1/2R (any of the four dates) in AU-MS. A few plate coins included in one of my references but never seen one better than VF even once.
I’ve always wanted one too, but they weren’t the first coins struck in the New World. That would be the coins of Carlos & Juana struck in Mexico City in 1536.

This project has taken a better part of a decade. No doubt I've looked through hundreds if not thousands of coins. But it has been fun. I did see an 8 o'clock toner recently, but the price was too high, mostly because of the MS-67 grade.

That is the coolest use of toned coins and why it would take a decade to complete. Are they mounted in something? After you get the 8:00 you need to do the reverse.
When I get the last one, it will get printed either on metal or acrylic/plexiglass and will come with clock hands.
No coins will be harmed.

That would look amazing. I can picture it, had this 'Last US Silver Coinage' clock almost 60 years, dug it out when you mentioned the clock hands. Still works, battery went dead. Thick acrylic behind & in front of coins. Good luck. Need to share when finished.

I will only say they are FB Mercury dimes. I got one today. Only two left.
USAF veteran 1984-2005
I just finished a date set of cents from 1793 to 2025, and I found an affordable 1815 quarter to complete the U.S. Mint date run from 1793.
So I'm considering my options.
I'd like to get a Julius Caesar lifetime denarius, and an 1860 Lincoln - Hamlin ferrotype presidential campaign jugate. That is not a coin or even a token.
For those who don't know what that is, here is one with Breckenridge and Lane from the the same campaign. Breckenridge was the "slaveholders" candidate in 1860. He later was a Confederate general during the Ciivl War, and was the Secretary of War in the rebel cabnet at the end of the conflict.
