Won this a couple weeks back on GC. Someone tried to snipe me with 10 seconds to go. I placed a new bid with 3 seconds to go and it hit in time. Very happy with it. It's an 1818-113 (R4) . Great die crack from star 7 to star 11. First purchase in over 8 months.

Won in a different HA auction held a day prior to the heralded “Desert Find” selection of over 30 1889-CC’s. Unlike those, this one has the CAC sticker (& a CMG as an added bonus).

Sincere apologies for the horrific cell phone pics. Obviously I’m not a coin photographer…..
Walked into my LCS yesterday and owner had just finished getting this one ready for sale. Most money I’ve paid for a raw coin in quite a while, and I couldn’t plop down the cash fast enough frankly.
Hopefully at least the original skin and “meat” left in the details come through. Off to our hosts today and will post the TVs once they’re done.

Just getting back from the Battlefield show in Gettysburg. I plan to do a small show report this weekend when I have some time, but it was terrific. Wish I had more time!!
Here’s my headliner. Special thanks to Robbie from the Reeded Edge, who I’ve done a few deals with over the years and is always fair and great to work with. Took some cash, some gold, and some coins, but we got there! I’m certainly happy about the deal.
MS64 CAC. Now certainly one of the nicer copper examples in my 7070 registry.

Judd 127. I have another in PF63, this was a really nice upgrade. I do think it should be a proof coin, but I will leave it where it is for now.

Just got these 2-2025 Silver Liberty Medals back from CACG today. However, they will need to travel back for the 1st Delivery Label (Mechanical Error)

Chipping away at the type set.
Peace dollars are not a series that I’m very interested in, but I wanted one that is visually appealing on the eyes to fill the slot. Eye appeal trumps all in this set, but it happens to be a better date as well - so that’s a plus.
Very happy to add this well struck, luster bomb to the set. Prices for these double one grade higher. Just a killer coin for the grade.

Had a great time at VA Numismatic Show in Fredericksburg. Bought 3 great coins from Andy and his lovely wife @ Angel Dee’s for my type set. This is the only one with a TV. Been waiting for the “right” Braided Hair cent and this was it!

This was acquired at today’s Virginia Numismatic Assoc coin show in Fredericksburg. Richard Gross had it in his case a few months ago at a prior show but we couldn’t quite come to a deal. Was able to make a trade with him today that left both sides satisfied.
The NGC pics don’t begin to capture the iridescent color present on both sides. I’ll look forward to this one being professionally photographed.
One of my new favorite pieces in my collection.
