Fun idea for a thread - kudos to you, @colorcommem! Mine is way higher than the examples above, and I don't have a pic of the slab handy, but here's the TV that I got when I sent the coin in for attribution (yes, I sacrificed the old holder for a new attributed one for registry purposes).
This is an 1829 LM-6.3 half dime, a scarce remarriage - in it's funky blueberry skin!
My lowest # no barcode rattler, now in a LOC Peace album. Not the easiest Peace $ to find in 63 or higher, date known for its bagginess. Since I knew it was going in the album I was ok with a low grade MS example.
How about the highest number in a rattler. (Just took quick snap-o'matic.)
There are many OGH and even the first blue label (series - coin#) holders with 7 digit cert numbers lower than this.

Never thought about that, but this one is pretty high:

You both got me beat on that. As I understand, after the 108.... the cert numbers were not necessarily in order (as this shows). This continued until more recently were it appears PCGS is going in order (at least from what I have seen in the last few/several years). I also read that at one time deepening on how the coins were submitted (service level), then the number could vary.
Cool. That is an OGH and from the font a 3.1. That might be a contender for the lowest number in one of those which according to the pcgs museum of holders came out in 1993 into 1998.

I have a couple of Buffalos with 109 starts...
Will try to get an image

Somewhat low, but the sequence is what I like:

I have another with 8 digits that starts with 0, so I think this is my lowest
no bar code and a really old holder

I have no idea where this falls. (Edit: CAC sticker applied after photo)

First time sort on the inventory for that column. No idea how low is low but now I know....

USAF veteran 1984-2005
Great topic, never knew PCGS used lower cert #'s on later gen holders.
