WILL HISTORY REPEAT ITSELF AS US AIR FORCE ONE BRINGS A US PRESIDENT TO MEET WITH A WORLD LEADER IN PURSUIT OF PEACE?
On September 11, 2023, the then United States President took advantage of a stop at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson (JBER) to meet with regard to honoring those who lost their lives on a prior September 11th.
Next week, the current United States President is expected to meet with Russia's Leader Vladimir Putin at likely that same Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson to hopefully set the framework for bringing an end to a current war.
Picture below is my photo of Air Force One as it departed from JBER over the waters of Anchorage's Cook Inlet on September 11, 2023. Following it is a photo of one of the United States Air Force F22 Raptor Fighter Jets that is based at JBER along with a video I took earlier today of a trio of Raptors streaking across the Alaska sky headed to their JBER Base in advance of next week's historic Alaska encounter between these world leaders.

Military prepararations for the encounter have already begun as the likely meeting site will be at Anchorage's Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson (JBER) where, as seen below, these videoed US Air Force F22 Raptor Fighter Jets are based.
(If I time it right, one week from today I should be able to film US President Trump and Russia's Putin Arriving in these same skies for an historic meeting in Alaska that could be a prelude to ending an ongoing war,)

And to add historical perspective, here is my photo of the Air Force One that took President Nixon to China for that historic meeting with China's Leader in pursuit of Peace.
I collect Titanic related items among many other things. Found this cool luggage tag at an antique shop a few weeks ago. Titanic was owned by White Star Line. It merged with its competitor, Cunard in 1934 and became Cunard White Star. They operated as such until 1950 when Cunard took over all assets from White Star Line and then operated under their old name, Cunard. This tag is from the merge era with both companies prominently shown. This yellow and red tag is less common than the red and blue tag.

The inscription facing the fountain is a statement by a young girl made just after the bomb fell. Translated, she states, "I was so thirsty but on the river's water there was oil floating. I really wanted to drink water. I finally drank the water with the oil floating on top."

The above statue which dominates Nagasaki's Peace Park symbolizes a prayer for the victims with its eyes closed while its extended left hand symbolizes eternal peace. The raised right hand pointing upward represents the threat of nuclear weapons.
As displayed in the nearby museum, folded cranes are symbolic of peace:

Between the Peace Park and the hypocenter are preserved cave built bomb shelters in which some actually survived:
The Diamond Princess and Sapphire Princess Cruise Ships were built in Nagasaki's Mitsubishi Shipyards. During World War II those same shipyards built Ships for Japan's Impertial Navy until an Atomic Bomb fell on Nagasaki bringing an end to the war.
Today Nagasaki shows its appreciation for the Diamond Princess' with its peacetime role each time it returns by a special send off.

Without fail, each time the Diamond Princess Cruise Ship docks in the Port of Nagasaki, the townspeople and youth gather to send off the ship and its passengers, In this video watch preparations for a send off from earlier this year as the youth perform.
