The PCGS Grading Contest at WFOM in OKC

Hello Everyone!

I know we’ve got some graders here on the forum, so if you will be attending the ANA World’s Fair of Money in Oklahoma City, August 21-23, make sure to sign up for the free PCGS coin grading contest!

Contestants will be given 15 minutes to grade 20 coins. All participants will receive a special sample slab, and the top three participants in each category will win additional prizes... and of course, bragging rights!

Our two age categories are:

Young Collectors - Ages 20 and under

Adults - Ages 21 and up

Spots are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration ends on August 13, so make sure to visit https://pcgs.com/gradingcompetition to fill out your registration form and reserve your spot!

I hope to see you all there!

Hey! That is 14 minutes more than the PCGS graders get.
    ;)

That's why contestants are competing for prizes and bragging rights, not a paycheck

It’s my understanding that the major grading services use these contests as ways to scope the collector field for potential employees.

Additionally, when NGC did it there was a cash payout for the winners.

Love this idea! For those not able to attend, is there a possibility of a virtual component to this contest using TrueView images?

PCGS gave a grading credit for at least 1st prize at CSNS. NGC gave out grading credits to adult winners, but cash to YNs, presumably because it would have been too difficult to guarantee that an arbitrary YN would legally be able to set up an account with them.

Unfortunately, right now we are only able to offer this contest to those attending the WFOM. You must be present to participate.

I saw the form, but do we submit it in person or to an email account?
