Sure, 1 piece at a time. However the tale might be tough going down.

Below - The trail to the Kenai River on which we encountered a Brown Bear last year. The month after our encounter a pair of hikers in the same vicinity were attacked by the bear. Note this year we are each wearing bear spray canisters.

    YESTERDAY'S DILOPHOSAURUS DINOSAUR ENCOUNTER

As seen in the immediately below linked video from yesterday here in Alaska, a threatened Porcupine that invaded my yard is seen assuming a replicated defensive behavior that replicated the same behavior by a Dilophosaurus Dinosaur that we saw on film in a Jurassic Park movie.

It is amazing to observe the same defensive animal behavior today in a porcupine that the Dilophosaurus Dinosaur demonstrated eons ago. Both animals, when threatened, stand erect and expand their width to enhance their perceived size and appear menacing.

We were invaded not by just one, but by a pair of Porcupines.

    Yesterday's "Dinosaur" Encounter:

FWIW, here are some added factoids about porcupines. These are the first that I have ever seen porcupinesin my neighborhood although I have come across them in the Alaska wild.

    1. They are a nocturnal animal but because of the extended daylight hours in Alaska they have to venture out when it is still light.

    2. When they project their quills at an animal or person invading their space it is by shaking and tossing them from their back and tail and not by shooting them as depicted cartoons.

    3. In North America we share a single species of porcupine, ironically named, "The North American Porcupine." (Europe has a different species.) They range from Alaska to Mexico.

    4. Porcupine meat is edible (and reportedly tasty) and it has served as an available survival food for those lost in the wilderness.

    5. Porcupines are vegetarians and have a typical lifespan of 5-7 years in their natural habitat. In captivity they can live up to 20 years.

    6. As evident in one of my above posted videos, they are capable to moving quickly despite looking slow and clumsy. They can actually outrun a human. They can run up to 2 1/2 miles per hour.
