Are quarters worth anything if they have notches or groves above horse's head?

    Coinsnap lists it as MS.
    I have it in my collector album.

    The "grooves" are damage. MS or not, it's worth 25 cents as the grade is not high enough to carry any premium.

    One more question please, is it worth anything to sell my hold album 1999 - 2003?

    Yes, count up the total number of quarters and multiply that number by 25 cents.

    Yes, damaged. Depressed areas on the would have to be raised areas on the die which struck the coin. Those marks are from hits after the coin was made. It’s called post mint damage.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Well depending on what type of album they are in, The album could be worth more than the coins in it.
