Changes daily, but right now this 1860 half has my attention. MS-67 Ex. Gene Gardner coin

I bought that coin in the Gardner auction after losing out on another I really wanted. Sold all my Liberty seated halves only a year or two later but sure miss some of them.
That 1860 has spectacular color on the obverse - enjoy it!

Thank you Buddy, both you and Gene have superb taste. Yeah, it's a moose all the way. The luster, for a coin of it's age, is just phenomenal. Great coin.
Favorite coin? Hmmm. Today it will be my top pop 1877-S WB-6 (R7) in NGC MS64 with dark obverse toning that oddly disappears under direct light. It's the only uncirculated SLH I have in my collection. Weird toning on a WB-6 "Weird F."
@BillJones Bill, you and I apparently have similar tastes. Thanks once again (!) to @PeakRarities I have a 1797 dollar that is very similar to yours, though in a slightly lower grade, EF40. I'm not sure this is my absolute favorite but it's definitely up there.
Lots of great coins everyone. Tough to pick a favorite. This dime is special for me because my wife made be purchase it at a local show in the 1980's prior to PCGS and NGC.
PCGS Proof 66+ Deep Cameo CAC
@asheland As a hard core half cent guy I LOVE your ‘33, I’m curious, has it been to CAC? Regardless, that is a superb example.
Actually no, it came from an old collection to a dealer who flipped it to another dealer, my friend worked for him, swooped it up, I called dibs the day he got it, two months later I bought it!
It’s in strong hands, it’s my favorite copper piece, ever!

Well she’s a beaut, I’m “jelly” as the kids would say. In the spirit of collection favorites, here’s my fav from my collection of little half sisters… 94s are so hard to find with nice hard chocolate planchets:
Really cannot pinpoint a certain one or two, but this one has been right at the top since I acquired it back in June of 1995. So many 93-S's are just not appealing in circulated grades but this one checks all the boxes for me.
Thought about upgrading over the years, as I use my lower graded coin to offset the cost, but undoubtedly would end up keeping this too which makes it much tougher.
@LeeBone I can see why that coin is at the top of your favorites. Great original look and solid for grade. Way too many problem coins for the date, at least on the BAY, and many netted graded.
It was a proof commemorative coin designed by William Wyon, the Chief Engraver at the Royal Mint, for the rebuilding of the fire damaged Palace of Westminster. I don't believe it was ever released for circulation.
It's referred to as Gothic for the Gothic inspired font of the legends. From what I understand there was a bit of a revival of the Gothic aesthetic in the Victorian era and this coin reflects that nicely.
In my personal opinion it's the most beautiful coin design, both obverse and reverse, I have ever seen. I fell in love with the design when I first stumbled across it over 20 years ago. This one that I'm privileged to be the custodian of is graded PR58.

I'm in awe of that coin. The toning on that coin is amazing. It's probably the best example of toning accentuating the design of a coin that I've seen.
I collect MS Barber dimes and don't collect proofs. The year 1901 had no special meaning to me. I took a risk buying this based on a poor auction house picture not knowing what it really looked like.
The PCGS photo comes close, the yellows are more white. If I needed to stop collecting, I would be happy with this being the last coin I bought. PF66 CAC.
@Barberian , I feel the same way. When I first saw it for sale I had a physical reaction to it. My pulse increased, I felt like my blood pressure rose and I got a little bit jittery. I still get an endorphin rush when I bring it out to this day.

It might be this one. Top Pop CAC and the Highest Graded of the R7 Variety (The recent Bass Collection auctions had me nervous when two of this variety were graded for the first time, but they were inferior). Very much PL due to how few were struck and maybe this was one of the first.

My favorite gold coin. But I only have three, so it’s kinda like being prom queen in a very small graduating class. Not that she’s not hot, mind you.

Today it's these two:
USAF (Ret.) 1985 - 2005. E-4B Aircraft Maintenance Crew Chief and Contracting Officer.
My current Registry sets:

✓ Everyman Mint State Lincoln Cents (1909 – 1958)
✓ Morgan Dollar GSA Hoard (1878 – 1891)

Definitely one of my favorite coins.
