Like everyone else, mine changes all the time. It’s this weirdo today.
Howdy there stranger, haven't seen you around these parts in some time. Want to tell us about that piece at all? I'm not sure what I'm looking at, (inverse fugio?) but it sure seems interesting.
It’s an American Congress Fugio Cent hub impression. PCGS coin number 512720. Only one graded. If it were one of the two or three known Newman-1 CC issues (not merely a hub impression) it would be easily worth a million bucks in that condition.
DAMN.

May not be my favorite appearance wise, but for value against what I have into it, it would be my 1944 Henning nickel. Found it many, many years ago in circulation.

I don’t have a single overall favorite, but since this is a US Coins forum thread, this one is pretty darned near my favorite US coin. (I’m primarily a World & Ancients guy. Well, no, more like all over the map. Literally.)

Not eye candy but I dug this out of the ground in my backyard metal detecting and was the first old copper I found. I like it a lot.

Oh HECK yeah. That’s sweet. My only dug DB cent is a corroded slug. I’m much more sentimental about the ones I dug myself, even when they ain’t as pretty.
That doesn't even look real! That's green with envy, talking, tho. I found a few nicely toned pennies hunting through coin rolls, none near so lush as yours. I'm jealous...

Thanks! That’s mostly why I bought it. The eye appeal is incredible, and it is a key date. It makes the perfect type coin for me!

I like error coins. This coin is hard to photograph.

Too many for me to identify a single favorite.
For today, I'll post this one. When I think of the term "hard surfaces" as it pertains to early copper, this coin comes to mind!

Unsurprisingly, this is another “eyecandy” thread, I see.

Case in point: a sentimental favorite I dug:

Caught myself thinking about this one earlier today. It’s so vivid in hand and defies attempts to assign a color 😎
