Not much to jump up and down about even if an '86.

30+ years coin shop experience (ret.) Coins, bullion, currency, scrap & interesting folks. Loved every minute!
This, or 1898.
What does the other side look like? It might help to determine if 1883. I am leaning 1888.
...my first thought was 1888... but pareidolia may be setting in!

Decided to add some nic-a-date; pretty sure its 1896 now. Loops of the questionable number are different sizes, not the same as an 8 should be.
Based on the partial shape of the last digit I think it is relatively safe to rule out a 1913.
1886

I'll go with an 86 as well
I’m in at 1898
I vote 1888.
Definitely 1888. For the ppl saying 1886, the last serif doesn't shape like a 6.
Proud follower of Christ!
